So I wake up at 4am (normally work nights so no biggie), and decide to go to a park. Grizz is unhelpful picking a good park so I decide to go to the MK. It's been a while since I've actually done anything at MK besides get a haircut.
Let's just say...drop everything, call in sick to work, and get to WDW now. There's nobody here.
I drive in...park in the 1st row of parking at 8:30. Ferry is sitting in dock. I wait outside for about 15 minutes, until the ferry decides to leave with very few people on it. Monorail has just left so I head on up. Lots of suits taking up an entire car. I was going to have a car to myself before the host booted me down so they could have their privacy.
Only about 30 people get on the monorail I'm on.
I get to the gates just as the opening ceremony is starting. About 250 or so people in the gates with no one in line rushing to get in.
First thing I do is Dumbo. Seems like even more demolition has gone on from MKT's pictures from the day before on the lefthand entrance/exit to the show building. I definitely see why Ariel's Grotto has closed as well. I wouldn't be suprised to see the F&B location there close to be removed soon.
Next to the Tea Cups where it's maybe 1/2 full and you can ride with Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum. I chose neither.
Off to Tomorrowland. After the Speedway, I hit Buzz Lightyear. Rode 3x without even getting off and no one is within 10 vehicles of me front or back, all three times getting a high score (up to 597,000).
Did TTA and CoP. CoP, maybe 20 people in the theatre at 10 am. Seats already seeing some damage, paint missing. (Were all theatres updated?)
Asked about 10 CM's about Stitch...all said latest on training was 2 or 3 weeks away or the beginning of October.
Cut through Fantasyland...all waits 5 posted. Headed over to Jungle Cruise. Lots of training of looks like all CP's going on without guests on boats. Couple of boats with managers only as well. Wait time posted of 20 min...took 10. Pirates walk-on, nice and cool as always.
Head up to Frontierland...CM's outside telling how Woody and friends (advertising BullsEye) are inside Jamboree building. There is Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye greeting inside with Dancing theming still there. Goofy's logo still on the floor and all decorations still up along the bar. They could have at least removed those.
Over toward BTMR. Loading one side only, the line started on the 1st ramp going down.
Large Crane extended up behind Splash/BTMR for something. Anyone know?
Lots of work going on TSI. Scaffolding up around the fort, inspection of bridges, looks like roofs being repaired/replaced as well.
Off to Splash...had to wait on them to unload the boat in front of me before boarding. Looked like everything was working including hopping Brer Rabbit. Of course, it's been so long since I've been on Splash, that I might be missing something.
Headed back toward Fantasyland. I guess not enough people were going in, so Woody and Bullseye were outside greeting.
Peter Pan was up to a 10 minute posted wait, but it didn't seem like it. Cut on back toward Tomorrowland where Buzz and Space were 10 minute posted still.
Getting tired by this point so I start to head out. The biggest crowd of the day that I saw was for Cinderella's Suprise Celebration. Stopped just after Mickey and friends come out due to a light rain that was gone in about 5 minutes.
Tip board had Buzz, Space, Splash, BTMR all with 20-25 minute posted times at this point, but there was no way that the line got that long since I passed by.
ESPN merchandise has been moved into the area with all of the other Sports Jerseys. Just to the right as you head into the door from Main Street. Located in the area just off Casey's was Buzz Lightyear and other stuff that I can't remember.
