Pumba, if that is accurate, then you may have just ruined a good deal of the book for people by not warning of a Spoiler, and if it is not, then you are still an for saying it.

I'm not sure I believe it, but I guess it is possible. All I know is that Ron and Hermione are both on the back cover looking at the Dark Mark over Hogwarts. Unless there is more than one significant death, it isn't Ron. Harry can't lose him also.....can he????? :veryconfu

Whether it's true or not, something like that should not be posted without a spoiler warning, especially if it is true. If it's not true, then it's very cruel to post for fans that haven't read the book yet or are still not far into the book to read. And his reponse to my reply was extremely rude and has been reported to a moderator.

So it’s offensive to use a parlance that few if any on the board understand but perfectly OK to use a derogatory term familiar to all. Perhaps I should report it to a moderator.

Sound like a professional victim to me. Is your name Tim?

Oh, go ahead and report it. Since my reporting it would lead them to reading the whole thing and they would already see it, it doesn't really matter, does it? Beyond that, I just don't really feel like getting into since we should really be discussing the topic of the thread.

No spoilers ahead, read on.

I just finished it and all I can say is wow! I can't wait till some others finish and we can discuss, though IMHO, I think probably we should wait a few days before any spoilers are posted. (And no spoilers HAVE been posted, by anyone, no fears.)

I am ashamed to say this, but I have never read a single Harry Potter book. I do love the movies however.
Same here. I tried to read the first one but I just couldn't get into it so I gave up. I love the movies though and am anxious to hear some spoilers from the new book!

I'm going on to Chapter 9 already, and it's really good so far! However, this book is a lot more horrific than the previous ones. I especially didn't like the part where Harry goes to the Neverland Ranch... :lookaroun

I will give one spoiler though... HOGWARTS BLOWS UP IN A HUGE FIREBALL THAT ENVELOPS THE EARTH... Err... Wait, maybe not...

I say that discussions may commence on Monday. I should be done by then and would love to discuss it with people. I'm on Chapter 10, very good indeed. I wonder who this mysterious Half-Blood Prince, and why he is so good at Potions?

Nope, one more to come after this and then that will be it for Harry Potter.

I'm just about to start Chapter 18. Not enough Luna Lovegood in this book yet IMO, but what little she has been in has had me laughing quite a bit. :D

The following MAY be considered a spoiler:

If anyone read the description of the Half Blood Prince, posted earlier in the topic, then you'll know who it is very early on. ;)

Also, by the looks of it, both Lavender Brown and Hermione have a crush on Ron.

If anyone wants to PM me with the one who dies, please do so.......I do read the books, but will not be picking mine up until later this week. I also read the end first to any book I buy, so it is not a big deal to me to know the ending.
