Nice.
Interested to hear more about the track listing as that will determine if this is a ‘must buy’ or not.
One really can’t beat the original ‘Official Album of EPCOT Center’…if only it had ‘New Horizons’ included!

Hoping this is unlike some of the other modern day Disney vinyl releases that are just digitally sourced from a brickwalled CD copy and sound…..questionable…..as far as sound quality goes.
Very common with a lot of reissued vinyl albums and new releases.
What’s the point if one can just listen to a crappy cd..?
When vinyl is mastered in the right way the record can sound utterly amazing.

Awaiting further info about what looks to be an interesting offering.
Hoping for some of the more obscure cuts and instrumental pieces.
It’s a two record set…plenty of space for a few !

This better have the World Celebration music loop!

Yes! And the EPCOT Anthem.

If it does, it'll only be a snippet. Each of the loops are about 20 to 30 minutes so we aren't getting the full releases on vinyl.

The track listing will be telling. And they can relegate the bland, boring Topak loop to one of their new solar-powered garbage cans for all I care.

If there's no digital release, it's more likely a "catering to niche markets" 2-LP vinyl record release. While I appreciate listening to actual old vinyl records, this "re-release things that never were available on vinyl" modern craze is tiring.

It’s a 2LP set. I wonder if the first one is the “original” LP and the second one the more recent stuff?

If it follows the pattern of other recent Disney compilation albums ( say, like their ‘100 Years of Disney’ release ) that will indeed be the case.
First record will be the vintage cuts, second lp will be the more modern tracks.

Born too late for EPCOT 1LP soundtrack release
Born too early for EPCOT 2LP soundtrack release
I'll never forget you Test Track 2.0 </3

(but seriously, this tracklist alleviates a little bit of my FOMO regarding this release, especially as someone who owns the original EPCOT Center album already. still interested in checking it out (esp for side A of the second disc), but not as desperate for it as i thought i'd be.)

There's nothing here worth the purchase. I'm $ur€ mo$t will $ay that Di$n€y di$agr€€$.
the first release of the computer song in 43 years is pretty notable, and i'm interested to hear the new versions of some tracks (like the extended magic journeys), but yeah, this is definitely made for the disney music nerds like myself and not something i'd foresee the general public being interested in

Some good tracks, but I would have liked to see the original Soarin' (over California) instead of Soarin' Around The World included, as well as Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, Promise and Tapestry of Nations. I guess they would have needed to make it a 3 album set, though.
Agreed, the OG Soarin’ should’ve been included…

A Disney music nerd already has 80% of that track list in digital format, at least. This looks very much like a desperate push to try and get in on the already-tired vinyl craze. I’m not saying don’t buy it, but… I kind of am.

I agree with you. I do have (somewhere in storage) the original Epcot album on vinyl. The original Soarin' is the best. I am glad I have Reflections of Earth and Tapestry of Nations on CD somewhere, and "Space" from Horizons is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. I will be passing on this. A bit disappointed, but I pretty much have what I like from the past already.

I hate myself for it, not to the point of calling a hotline, more like a can't look myself in the faceballs kind of self-loathing, and in my defense, there is a mild backstory propelling me, but I'm probably buying this.

One LP is many times better than the other. (Just like the past of Epcot compared to the current day park.)

I’m curious how many minutes of this will be on the record… and if the rest/any of it will be available on streaming.
Probably about 5 to 6 minutes. I think a single side of a record is about 25 minutes on average.
SATW is about 5 minutes and Test Track "Opening" is a little over 4 1/2 so we're at almost 10 minutes there.

Quoting my August 4th post.

One side vintage, other side modern.
Typical pattern for recent Disney vinyl compilation albums.

Called it!
😎

But I digress…

It is a little disappointing there is no ‘middle Epcot’ music from the 90s or early 2000s.
Nothing from the Millenium Celebration, no ‘Ellen’s Energy Adventure’ music, not even the coveted ‘Future World loop’.

Zip.

And Jerry Goldsmith’s original score for ‘Soarin’ should have been included.
