The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I think you still pick a "starting park" and need to scan into that one first. Wasn't that what they said when this was first announced to be coming later this year?

But once you scan in at your starting park, you can go to the next one

Oh yea I figured you'd still have to pick a park but forgot about the fact that you'll likely have to scan into that starting park first. Ok (barely) matters then. If one tries to scan into DCA and then walk right out and into DL they will be slightly inconvenienced as their ticket will be flagged and a supervisor summoned. But if there are no park hopping rules they really should get rid of this. They can use the starting park selection for attendance tracking purposes. Although I guess having to scan into your starting park first does help with the gate entry process and ensures the vast majority of people will at least spend a little time there before hopping over to the other park.

This is great! Although the chances of me arriving super early are very slim. But I don’t have to park hop by 11. I don’t really enjoy starting my park at DCA. It gotta be Disneyland always.

Yeah this barely ever affected me. Now when it was 1pm that was kind of annoying and almost killed a day I had planned with some fam from out of the country once where I forgot to change the starting park for my wife and I to DCA like the rest of the party.

I’d been looking forward to this, but I ‘ve definitely got mixed feelings about the final product as seen in these images.

I’ve no problem with the open-back structures, as the real life park versions are, after all, facades on show buildings. But I was hoping for just a *bit* more depth. I’m particularly disappointed with the fire station, but at least they did include the light in Walt’s apt.

What’s there is great, but it’s not enough. I might have considered this for $200, but the $400 price tag makes this a very easy “no” for me.
It's a shame it couldn't have been more like the Diagon Alley set they released a few years back. It was $50 more, but came with over 1,500 more pieces which allowed for much greater detailing.

Except Oogie Boogie Bash nights.

Then start at DCA, hop over at like 3 pm. Get a ton of rides in.

Strategy works well at MK for MNSSHP nights.

I posted this over in the movie forum, but I'm in Portland airport right now and watched this whole corporate operation with Disney seemingly catering to a bunch of influencers on a flight down to John Wayne. At gate c10 in Portland airport, they did up the entire gate like Galaxy's edge with props etc., had signs up for mando and grogu, had a live DJ, multiple Disney name tagged people, and even had a full meet n greet with mando and grogu at the gate! The plane was the star wars livery Alaska Air and after the flight left a crew tore down the whole set up. Fascinating.
