The Journy of the lion king

recently i have started to work on a dark ride (with a cool new method).
this ride focuses on the story of "The Lion King" and simba's adventures.
i want to see what you guys think about it...
well- here i goes.

The Journy of the lion king:

The journey of the lion king:

Queue: the first part queue is designed as a cave from the time of prehistoric men.
On the walls of the cave there are drawings:
At first, you see a painting of a tree, then you see a painting (remember, all are ancient paintings like there are drawn by cave men) of a giraffe eating the tree, then you see a painting of a lion eating the giraffe, then a painting of hawks eating a dead lion and after that you see grass again.
This is trying to show the Circle of life.
The second part of the queue is designed as a jungle in Africa; there are trees, water streams and AA animals.
On the right there are life size AA of Timon and Pumba as they tell random jokes about wild animals and sometimes eat bugs.
The last part of the queue that is also the loading area is designed like Rafiki's tree.
You see his stock of fruit, a painting of young Simba and a life size AA of Rafiki that welcomes you to the adventure.
After seeing Rafiki you enter a six seats (three rows of two) Zazoo vehicle.
That vehicle have a special quality that will make the ride really cool: the vehicle can move in to ways:
1- Track mode (a regular on track ride like snow white or Pinocchio)
2- Glide mode (like in peter pan)
The Zazoo (this will be the name of the vehicle) can switch modes easily because can be on a track below him and on a track above him.
So after you board your very own Zazoo you will begin your adventure in The Journey of the lion king. ​

hey... now we begin our ride, the ride will be divided to scenes that can be move scenes (where you move all the time) and stop scenes (when there is a point that you stop).

okay... now... the beginning:

The Circle of life- beginning: stop scene

As you exit the loading area your Zazoo starts to move in glide mode, you find yourself in the night sky full of stars above, below and all around you.
The music from "circle of life" starts to play, as the stars begin to come together and forms animals running in the sky.
In one time you are actually see eagles above you, fish below you and tigers, lions, giraffes, zebras and more all around you, all formed by stars.
After that, when the song reaches the words: "but the sun rolling high, in the sapphire sky…" you see a light glimpse from the distance, as you come closer the light go stronger until…

When the light is really strong so you cannot really see anything but light, and the song reaches the chorus (It’s the circle of life!!!) you exit the night sky and enter at the very peak of pride rock, Rafiki is next to you and under you there are all the animals of the African savanna shouting and cheering.
At this point you stop moving and Rafiki is lifting young baby Simba up high, all the animals kneel before him as the chorus continues (until we find our way!!)
Then you start moving down in a spiral so you can see also Mufasa and his wife standing under the place that you stopped at, you can also see another track gliding up high in the opposite way.
When the chorus is about to end, you are already down and your Zazoo switches to track mode, then, when the chorus end. You exit the scene and enter the next room.

Great job so far romanarms. I can;t wait to see what else will happen. I think you really are doing a good job. WIll the timon and pumbaa in the queue be like the Mr. Potato Head in TSM or the Buzz Lightyear in BLSRS, just wondering?

no... timon and pumba will not contact the audience, because the queue will move fast and no one will have enough time to stand there and talk to them. but they will tell jokes.

hey guys, i am back, and now with: cant wait to be king,the elephant grayveyard and be prepared... enjoy (oh, there is also a new kind of scene- intense scene. it means that in this scene there are parts where the vehicle speeds up, not a lot...just faster to resemble an escape attempt,running or falling):






Can't wait to be king- move scene:

After exiting pride rock, you find yourself in the jungle (I cant wait to be king start playing) where you pass through an AA of samba and nalla playing together and Zazoo shouting "get back here Simba", after saying that Zazoo hits a tree.
After seeing that you continue to move through the jungle where you see Simba and Nalla and Simba says: "Nalla come with me, there is a really cool place that I want you to see".
Then- you move to the next room.





The elephant graveyard- stop\intense scene:

You find yourself in a gray place full of large bones, as you go through you see Simba and Nalla and Zazoo looking all over the place, then you stop.
The room get slightly darker as three pairs of eyes can be seen in the distance and a naughty laughter can be heard.
You then see Shanzi, Bonzai and Ed coming to you from the right.
Shanzi: what do we see here Bonzai?
Bonzai: I don’t know Shanzi… what?
Sanzi: Ed?
Ed: uhuhuhuh… uhuhuh!!!
Bonzai: I know…
Shanzi: three little trespassers!!!
The lights get on again, and Shanzi is trying to bite you.
In that point the vehicle start to pick up speed (that is where the intense part begins).
You run through the graveyard when Bonzai and Ed come for you from both sides and almost bite you.
Then you start to slow down and you see that ahead of you the three hyenas are waiting.
You come really close to them and then stop again.
Shanzi: what now little guy?... how about a little roar?
You hear a loud and really intimidating roar and suddenly the lights- light a certain point right above the hyenas and you see Mufasa roaring.
Mufasa: "live them alone you filthy creatures!!"
Now you exit the room, but if you will pay attention you will see a pair of hidden eyes near Mufasa.






Be prepared scene- stop scene:

You enter a room full of hyenas and ahead of you there is a dark spot, the music of "be prepared starts to play".
Suddenly the lights- light the dark spot and you see Scar.
Scar: I had enough from this Mufasa
Shanzi: so what do you want us to do… kill him?
Scar: uhuhuh… exactly…my hyenas… be prepared
(now the music gets gradually louder)
Shanzi: for what?!
Scar: for the Murciest… Scam!!!!!!!!!!
The rock on witch the Scar AA stands start to rise, you switch to glide mode and spirally go around the rock as you go up as well.
As Scar goes up, lava starts to come out from the sides of the room and the floor, Scar sings:
Scar: Meticulous planning
Tenacity spanning
Decades of denial
Is simply why I'll
Be king undisputed respected saluted
(the hyenas start to dance in they're place, you stop)
And see for the wonder I am!!
Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared, be prepared!!
(lava shoots out from everywhere and lights are going red, holographic projections of the three hyenas appears near your face to complete the song.
The hyenas+Scar: yes our teeth and ambitions are bared be prepared!!!!
(all the lava shoots itself high, almost as high as you are, then- everything goes dark and you continue as you move downwards to the next room. Right before you exit you are already in ground level- switching to track mode).

Looking good so far Roman can't wait to hear the rest, you're doing a good job of writing the scenes so I can picture it in my head.

hey guys, sorry for the delay, but those scenses are the longest three scenes in the ride, so it took me a while to do them.
(also, in one part in the love scene there will be beavers doind the sound "dum badum doledum" and sounds like that. if you dont understand why in the world are thy doing those sounds, take a look at the movie "lion king" and you will see that in the song "can you feel the love tonight" those sounds are really heard, so when you read this, dont think i am a freak).

o.k. here it goes: the runaway, hakuna matata and: can you feel the love!:


the runaway- stop\intense scene:

After exiting from "be prepared" you go through a completely dark corridor.
You go slowly and there is complete silent, then you start to hear footsteps of an animal… the sound is getting louder really fast until you hear a sound of a large group of beasts running. Then all of a sudden the two walls on each side of you that are actually two screens- project the scene where the Gnu are running. There are also real statues of trees and bushes to make it look three dimensional.
You start to pick up speed as the Gnu runs in a complete chaos.
In some points a flash light appears, revealing an AA of a Gnu (the Gnu will be real close to you so it will be kind of scary).
Remember that in this entire scene the room is dark, in order to make it look like you are really caught in the middle of the Gnu runaway.
In one point after seeing a few Gnu AA and the projection of the runaway, you switch to glide mode and go up fast.
In that point- the floor that is also a screen projects the runaway as the walls stops to project (now you see it from the view of a bird).
Then you instantly stop.
On the right- red light begins to shine as you see Mufasa hanging on the cliff as Scar takes his hand (this is all with real AA) and say:
Scar: long live the king!
Then the room goes completely dark and you hear the laughter of Scar and the "no!!" scream of samba.
You lower yourself slowly to the ground as you go to another room and switch to track mode.
The room looks like a canyon; You see the dead Mufasa and Scar standing next to him saying:
Scar: "kill him"
All of a sudden the three hyenas jumps from your right and try to catch you so swiftly switch to glide mode and go up high really fast, then… as the hyenas try to bite you from the ground you dive into a bush of thorns that is also a bump door
That leads to the next scene, you go down fast and switch to track mode, then- you enter the next room and the next scene.

Hakuna Matata- move scene:

You enter a room that looks like dry plains; you see Timon and Pumba looking at the fainted Simba.
Pumba: "oh… look Timon, he is so cute, can we keep him?".
You continue into a beautiful jungle, with waterfalls coming out from everywhere, there are pretty birds and trees and you see Timon and Pumba lifting a rock witch possesses a great amount of bugs underneath, Simba that stands near them sais:
Simba: "you want me to eat does? Ewe…"
Timon: "umm… tastes like chicken"
You then enter another room that looks like a jungle when you hear the song of "hakuna matata" you hear the sound of pumba and timon shout "hakuna matata" and you suddenly see Pumba from your right and Timon from your left swinging on a vine to the opposite side.
Then you see a small pool, Timon and Pumba get they're heads heads out of the pool and shoots water on you (for real).
Then you enter another room witch is looks like you are in the top of the trees of the jungle, you switch to glide mode.
Under you you see a beautiful pool of water and there are streams everywhere.
On your left you see a big brenach witch Pumba young Simba and Timon walk on while singing (like in the famous scene).
Then the branch becomes completely dark and on your right you see another branch witch on this time- Timon Pumba and grownup Simba (I mean the big one) are walking on it while singing.
You lower yourself to gound level following the sounds of "hakuna matata" and return to track mode.
Then you exit the room and the scene.











CAn you feel the love- stop scene:


You enter another jungle room and you see on your right pumba's behing stuck in a tree and Nalla roaring at it.
Then on your left Simba pops out and sais
Simba: "nalla?'"
Nalla: "Simba?"
You then continue to the next room where you see the two lions talking to each other (you don’t understand the words because they talk to quietly).
Then, suddenly Timon and Pumba pops up from your right.
And Timon sais:
"I can see what's happening" Timon:
(You stop)
Pumba: "what?"
Timon: "and they don’t have a clue"
Pumba: "who?"
(The lights begin to become more and more pink&blue)
Timon: "they'll fall in love and here's the bottom line"
Pumba: "and?"
Timon: "our trio's down to two"
Pumba: "owe…"
(you begin to move really slow)
Timon: "the sweecares of taunt, there is magic everywhere… and with all this RO-man-tic atmosphere… disaster's in the air!"
You enter another room that is completely dark, then when the chorus of "can you feel the love tonight" begins, the room completely lights on, and you see that you are in the middle of a beautiful pool, trees and birds all around you, on the ceiling there are projections of blue and pink lights.
Simba and Nalla are standing ahead of you, you stop.
You remain in your place and listen to the chorus:
Voice: "Can you feel, the love, tonight"
You see on your right three beavers popping out doing
Beavers: "dum dedum, doledum.."
Voice: "the peace the evening brings"
Beavers: "a le-dum le-dum bawei"
Voice: "for once the world… in perfect harmony, with all it's living things"
Beavers: "a le-dum le-dum, do-aledum"
Then right before the chorus begins again and louder (like in the last part of the song in the real movie) the entire room lights up and you see two birds standing on a branch like a couple, two crocodiles coming out of the pool, two monkeys hanging from a tree, two frogs standing on a leaf in the pool, and also of course- Simba and nalla kissing.
All of the animals except Simba and nalla are doing from now until the rest of the scene:
Animals: "la la la la la".
(the description was long, but in the ride this thing will take less then two seconds, the song will go in the same speed like in the movie)
Now the second chorus begins:
Voice: "can you feel, the love, tonight"

and here it is!! the last three scenes of the journy of the lion king:

Remember- stop scene:



After exiting the love scene you enter a dark jungle place where you see samba and nalla looking away from each other. You move really slowly.
Simba: "I cant come back, never"
Nalla: "you know what o.k.! just… just stay here!"
The Nalla AA disappears (it actually comes to a hole beneath it)
Simba: "no Nalla wait!"

Suddenly the lights lit a spot above you and alittle to the left. You see Rafiki.
Rafiki: "come with me young lion"
Simba: "who are you?"
Rafiki: "oh… it doesn’t matter who am I… but who are you… son of Mufasa… ooh! Ooh!… come with me"
The lights go off Rafiki.
Simba: "what? Wait! How do you know my father?"
Rafiki's voice: "come with me!"
You begin moving a little faster (not high speed though)
And then you enter a plains… it is night time and the sky is filled with stars, you see a cliff ahead of you and Rafiki on your right, and Simba on your left, you stop.
Rafiki: "Simba… it is time for you to know… who you are"
Simba: "who am I? What do you mean?"
Rafiki starts to perform a sort of tribal dance with his hands, and the lights switch colors rapidly. Then, Rafiki takes his stick and knock it on the ground, in that point you start to feel a really strong wind, and you see blue smoke coming from everywhere filling the sky.
The smoke is so thick that you can actually see a projection on it. The projection is Mufasa.
Mufasa: "Simba"
Simba: "father?"
Mufasa: "remember who you are Simba…"
Simba: "and who am I father? Tell me!"
Mufasa: "you are my son… and the king of priderock… you must go back and restore your throne"
Simba: "but how can I go back? Everyone are subjects to Scar now"
Mufasa: "remember… who… you… are…"
The projection stop and the smoke is starting to fade.
Simba: "no wait!! Father!...no…"
Rafiki: "Simba Simba… I showed you the past so you will learn from it…there are two options now… what are you going to do?"
Simba:" I am going back."
You start moving, you pass Simba and Rafiki and instead of going into the cliff you turn right and exit through a hidden door as you hear in the background Rafiki saying: "good. Good… ooh! Ooh! Haha! Hahahahaha!".
You exit the room and the scene.

The flaming battle- stop\intense scene:



After exiting "remember" you find yourself in the ruined priderock, in a canyon.
You see Timon and Punba dancing Hula and three hyenas watching.
You continue to move and you see Scar and Zazoo in the cage.
Then you go out of the canyon to another room that looks like the plains of ruined priderock.
You See Simba and the lions on your left, and Scar with the hyenas on your right.
You start to pick up speed and enter a canyon again, as you move fast (this is the intense part) you move through Shenzi that try to bite you, Bonzai popping out from the ground and Ed throwing a skull on you but just misses.
You then stop instantly.
You start moving slowly and exit the room, entering a next room that is priderock itself.
You see hyenas everywhere; Simba is on your left while Scer is on your right.
You switch to glide mode and go up and spirally until you are in the same place just higher. You stop.
Then… without any warning… Fire pops out from everywhere, you can feel the heat, the fire and smoke make it impossible to see the Simba and Scar AA, and the hyenas. Instead you see a projection of their shadows fighting.
After some fists, jumps and punches you see the shadows trying to push each other (like in the scene from the movie)
Then Simba rolls and by that throw Scar from the cliff.
The fire goes down, the AA of the hyenas Simba and Scar already disappeared.
You see Scar on the bottom of the cliff as the hyenas come slowly to him.
Scar: "awe… my friends…"
Shenzai: "friends?... I thought that you said that we are the enemy… Bonzai?"
Bonzai: "yah… that's what I heard too… ed?"
Ed (in a cruel voice): "hehehe… hehehe… hehehe…"
Dozens of hyenas come closer and closer to Scar as you (still in glide mode) exit the scene from a hidden door on the highest rock, while exiting you hear the cruel sound of Scar being killed by the hyenas.
You exit the scene.












The circle of life: ending- stop scene.




After exiting the flaming battle you enter the room that was your first to see: the circle of life.
You are high in the sky and below you see all the animals cheering, and Rafiki standing next to a lion (in the beginning you thought it was Mufasa but now you understand that this is Simba), you also see another vehicle, just starting his adventure.
You enter the room right in the beginning of the chorus of "circle of life".
As you enter, you stop.
All the animals bow and Rafiki is taking Simbas son (in the beginning you thought that this is Simba) and lifting him, all the animals bow and the sun shine on Simba's son.
As the chorus ends, you start moving and exit the room through a secret door on the rock.
You enter another room that looks like restored priderock and you are in the sky, under you you see Timon, Pumba, Simba, Rfiki, Zazoo, Nalla, and Sarrabi.
You go down spirally until you are in the same spot as the one you were in when you enter the room, just lower.
You switch to track mode. Now you can see all your animal friends from close, and they are all waving to you, as a rainbow appears from above them.
Then after this great adventure you exit the room from your right and into the loading area where you exit the scene and the attraction.

Remember- stop scene:



After exiting the love scene you enter a dark jungle place where you see samba and nalla looking away from each other. You move really slowly.
Simba: "I cant come back, never"
Nalla: "you know what o.k.! just… just stay here!"
The Nalla AA disappears (it actually comes to a hole beneath it)
Simba: "no Nalla wait!"

Suddenly the lights lit a spot above you and alittle to the left. You see Rafiki.
Rafiki: "come with me young lion"
Simba: "who are you?"
Rafiki: "oh… it doesn’t matter who am I… but who are you… son of Mufasa… ooh! Ooh!… come with me"
The lights go off Rafiki.
Simba: "what? Wait! How do you know my father?"
Rafiki's voice: "come with me!"
You begin moving a little faster (not high speed though)
And then you enter a plains… it is night time and the sky is filled with stars, you see a cliff ahead of you and Rafiki on your right, and Simba on your left, you stop.
Rafiki: "Simba… it is time for you to know… who you are"
Simba: "who am I? What do you mean?"
Rafiki starts to perform a sort of tribal dance with his hands, and the lights switch colors rapidly. Then, Rafiki takes his stick and knock it on the ground, in that point you start to feel a really strong wind, and you see blue smoke coming from everywhere filling the sky.
The smoke is so thick that you can actually see a projection on it. The projection is Mufasa.
Mufasa: "Simba"
Simba: "father?"
Mufasa: "remember who you are Simba…"
Simba: "and who am I father? Tell me!"
Mufasa: "you are my son… and the king of priderock… you must go back and restore your throne"
Simba: "but how can I go back? Everyone are subjects to Scar now"
Mufasa: "remember… who… you… are…"
The projection stop and the smoke is starting to fade.
Simba: "no wait!! Father!...no…"
