The House of Mouse

Although knowing the original idea behind this is a sit-down restaurant for Toontown Fair and that in the actual cartoon the building appears to be on Main Street, now that I think about it, the retro-Art Deco facade of the House of Mouse would be a most fitting addition to good ol' Hollywood Blvd at Disney-MGM Studios. "Pluto's Toy Palace", etc. The HoM marquee is pure Hollywood Blvd. I tell you, although I believe the space is currently occupied by some sort of shopping establishment, a House of Mouse at the corner of Hollywood Blvd down by the Chinese Theater would not only be a great architectural addition but also a fine eating establishment.

Nah, I don't think so... It all has a too-modern look to be on Main Street. Now Hollywood Bl., that'd work.

To me, the best place still is ABC Theater. It'd draw away the crowds from the other side of the park (B&B, ToT and RnRC)

OK. Awesome Idea!! How about Auto animatronics host and classic and new Disney cartoons. That way there’s no set times and people can walk into the middle of a show and have some idea of what’s going on.

I agree that its definately a great idea- and I wish it were a reality so that I could eat there next time I go. But, having characters serve the meal wouldn't work- people would want autographs all the time, and have lengthy convos (assuming they were a talking character) making the service slow.

However, everything else sounds great! :sohappy: Defiantely send the idea to Disney.

I still think the penguin waiters is a helluva an idea, even if it would be hard for the servers to serve the meals. It would look extemely cool!

"You are correct sir!" In the opening of the show, the announcer say something like "Live from Main Street..." but I don't think House of Mouse would fit in on Main Street USA, that's why I suggested ToonTown, that and the fact that ToonTown needs a place where guests can eat.

I was also thinking that with Mickey having his "judging duties," meet and greet with the kiddies, someone else would have to be MC at the House. Maybe an alternating cast memeber or someone like Horace Horsecollar or someone else who is indeed on the show; however, Horace might not work since he is the guy who starts the films. But I think it would be cool if Disney gave him the job at ToonTown's HoM. Plus Mickey could make an appearance later in the day after his meet and greet is finished.

One last thought, if you look at Mickey's house in the Mickey cartoons from HoM, it looks just like Mickey's house from ToonTown Fair. Coincidence?

The MK definetly needs another sit-down restaurant. The ideas you are discussing sound awesome and would fit perfectly in with the Toontown theme.

I would love to see something along the lines of Animator's Pallate, from the cruise ships. Disney probably wants to make it unique to the ships, but I would love to see it in a park or resort (for those of us who haven't or won't, be able to cruise.

You mean the "quackstreet boys"? :D

I have also thought for a long time that it'd be great to have a restaurant based on House Of Mouse.

Imagine the character dining experiences? And watching all those fantastic cartoons while you eat? You can put my name down for Priority Seating please

Yes, what a marvellous idea. I can just see myself there :D

I was watching the House of Mouse once, and Benny the Cab from WHo Framed Roger Rabbit made an appearance! That surprised me...I thought DIsney would never use those charaters again because of the legal battles with Spielberg.
