The House of Mouse

I think a great addition to ToonTown or Downtown Disney would be a restaurant based on Disney's House of Mouse. It would be good for ToonTown adding someplace to actually eat a meal instead of just a quick snack. Imagine a restaurant that is a combination of Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, cartoons playing on the big screen, from the Studios and the ABC Soap Opera Bistro, with Disney characters serving the food, from California Adventure, and that's basically what House of Mouse would be. Something like this is highly improbable because of the character's two places at once rule, but it would be cool to participate in.

I totally AGREE!! That would be a great idea. They could show cartoons on the big screen like they do on the show. What a great idea. :sohappy:

And little Audio-Animatronic Huey, Dewey, and Louies could pop up out of the floor like the Iron Chefs and start their little mechanical AA dance routines between cartoons. And all the waiters could be dressed as the penguins! And all the chairs would have Mickey icons on them. Heck, it'd be Hidden Mickey paradise!!

That's a great idea! Maybe you shouldn't have them serving... bighead that aren't very easy to see out of and big platers of food somehow don't mix:lol: . But the idea is awesome...can't you e-mail ideas to disney?:veryconfu if you can i would definantly e-mail them this one!

Huey, Dewey, Louie

I didn't even think about Huey, Dewey and Louie as the band, or the penguin waiters. That's a great idea too!:sohappy:

Thanks for the nice comments y'all. Just thought about something else, though. How about make it a mystery dinner show? In every episode there's always some sort of mystery/problem in the background - either Von Drake is too smart or Donald can't stifle the Aracuan or something like that. What if, say, something was stolen and all throughout the dinner clues come about and in the end you have to guess what character is guilty of stealing say Minnie's shoes or what happened to Daisy because Donald can't find her? Something along those lines. Make it interactive. There could also be multiple story lines, so you never experience the same adventure/mystery/clues twice - the Indiana Jones of the restaurant business!

Replace the ToonTowen location. I think the look of the building and the fact Mickey is presending cartoons non-stop while he can be outside is a little wierd.

I think a location in the current 'Playhouse Disney-LIVE' location would be good. It would continue the animation theme, the Playhouse will be put in the ABC theater (and remove an eyesore), and another good food location will be placed at the MGM.

House of Mouse in the Studios

The whole point of placing House of Mouse in ToonTown is to give visitors some place to eat in ToonTown that isn't just a snack cart. It would be good in the Studios, but it is more needed in ToonTown.

That is the absolute best idea I have ever heard. You should definately contact Disney about this one. They would be crazy not to do it.

If it turned into a dinner show - a show with set times every night then it would have a schedule, and Mickey and all the 'toons would as well. Thus, when the show begins, Mickey and the 'toons all "retire" to the theater/restaurant. They could even make it a mini-parade! Thus, it would "explain" why the 'toons wern't home. However, for this idea to work, some closing times would have to be adjusted. And, if it worked out just as an ordinary restaurant a la Sci-Fi Dine In, it could be just that - some vintage and newer cartoons continously being shown, with some Audio Animatronics here and there as "props". And cartoons are like films - the star can watch themself - it's ok to be in 2 places at once. And that could be the logic behind the restaurant idea. But IF it were to incorporate either "live" 'toons or Audio-Animatronic Mickey, etc., it would run along the lines of a dinner show, and would rely on some scheduling adjustments.

Sure, but now I've had an idea. Why not put it in ToonTown in DL and Studios in WDW? Unless we retheam the "County Fair" theme, House-o-Mouse won't fit in.

We can have a country style version!! :slurp: :slurp: Actually, I like this idea if they can give it a re-theme. I think the MK needs another sit-down restaurant...and one with such kinds of entertainment and technology would be great! Of course, this can't really happen now, since its been posted... :lookaroun :brick:

I hadn't thought about ToonTown being ToonTown Fair @ WDW. Maybe there should be an expansion of ToonTown going from the Country to a downtown area. Kinda like how ToonTown in Anaheim has multiple areas, Downtown ToonTown, Toon Square, and Mickey's Neighborhood, except instead of having Toon Square have Mickey's Fairgrounds or something like that. If there were an expansion, House of Mouse could be placed in Downtown ToonTown and there would be no theme conflict. Besides, you have to admit ToonTown Fair gets really cramped when you get a lot of people moving around in the area and an expansion wouldn't hurt.

We had this discussion some months ago, and a CM said that Disney actually thought about it but scrapped the idea. He even showed a concept drawing... I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but you'll find it if you do a little digging.

Yes, I even had the idea too, I think a lot of people have thought about this... it is a great idea, but I imagine it would be quite crowded and need to be very large.

I was thinking about this idea ever since the House of Mouse show came on. I think it's a better idea than Mickey's Philamagic show. Maybe if House of Mouse is still a success once Mickey's Philharmagic gets outdated it can be added to Toontown.

I'd love to sit next to the characters while I'm watching the show. That would be very entertaining!! Plus it would put the Mickey show in Toontown and not in Fantasyland which doesn't make sense.

House of mouse is one of the best (animated TV) shows Disney has produced in a very long time. It's ripe for a theme park tie in.

And it won't have any of the copywrite trouble the Roger Rabbit Characters since Disney owns all the characters. :)
