well, this has been interesting hasn't it? GoofyDonald had the highest score in project 1 and then didn't hand anything in for project 2. Well I've gotten confirmation from 1 person that they are handing theirs in. Eliminations will start at the end of this round by eliminating the person with the lowest overall score. This is only because of all the people not in the competition anymore. *sigh*.

Welcome, Welcome! I am your host Tom Morrow 2.0! And welcome to tomorrowland also known as deadland. Well folks, not for long! That's right you have designed 2 rides and are no graduating to a whole land refurb! our requirements for this are:
-do something to the peoplemover track
-something new in innoventions
-redo 1 restaurant
-new paint scheme/architecture

+5 marks if you have something new that isn't based on a film
+5 marks if you have 1 ride that you designed based on a film ex. tron ride
+1 marks for each piece of concept art limit 5

This is meant for disneyland. May the force be with you.

Alright guys, the first prize for Walts apartment is a hint towards a future project this season. After the first winner of Walt's apartment we will give it to a random player that we will pull out of a hat. the only way to win is to bring your A game from now on because the deciding factor about if you win or not will be your percent of the overall game. Not your score on the final project but your collective score. If you are last in percent though, don't worry there is time to catch up and we have some surprises that may or may not work in your favor.

On an unrelated note, if you would like to help out in the planning of the projects for next season send me a PM we are still looking for one more Judge/creative Consultant. Obviously though you won't be able to play next season. Next season will bring some new twists that will push the boundaries of the game. We hope to see you all next season and wish you luck this season. In two projects this game will get intense.

If everyone scores more than 45/60 this round we will reveal one more prize in Walts apartment

Welcome to the Grid Programs. As you can guess from the serials we have provided, the villains are attempting to escape. a minor villain has already escaped and depending on how good your projects are we may be able to hold him off. Zurg has escaped and now is trying to free the ones trapped under Sleeping Beauty castle. The better your projects, the better chance we can hold him off. If all the projects don't pass 48/60, Zurg will be able to free one villain from under the castle. If the Villain is freed they may or may not make the next project even bigger.

Projects due tomorrow, we will mark on Sunday and project 2 will be assigned once all are marked and someone is eliminated or not eliminated, i have no clue if we will have eliminations or not. How's this: if everyone gets 90/120 we reveal one more Walt's apartment prize. if everyone gets 96/120 Zurg cannot free a villain to make the projects bigger for the next few. if everyone gets 101/120 this is a non-elimination round. Please give some feedback for the last one.

1. do something to the peoplemover track
Buy N Large Transit Authority
http://sketchfu.com/drawing/3956980-buy-n-large-transit-authority-train
Presented by Ford.
Description in park's guide map: "Take a grand-circle tour of Tomorrowland aboard Buy N Large's mass transit system."
You enter the queue through an elevator that takes you to the Transit level of the former Rocket Jets tower. In the boarding area, you see a poster that lists companies that are part of the Intergalactic Business Alliance. These include Buy N Large, XS Tech, Inventco, Star Tours, Imagination Institute, Star Command, Brava Centauri, and ENCOM. After seeing the poster, a preshow video is seen featuring CEO Shelby Forthright briefly describing the ride of Buy N Large and stating the company's motto: There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day. Here is the your Transit Authority journey, narrated by Shelby Forthright.

Female Announcer: Please step carefully onto the moving platform, then step into the vehicle. For your safety, remain seated throughout your journey, keeping your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside your car. And please supervise your children. Remember to stay clear of the doors which will open and close automatically. Enjoy your trip aboard the Metroliner.

Robot: Tomorrowland Transit Authority metroliner non-stop, now departing Space Port Alpha for a round-trip super skyway tour.

Shelby Forthright: Welcome aboard Buy N Large travelers. Whether you're a humanoid, a robot, or an alien passenger we hope you enjoy your trip along Buy N Large Transit Authority's Super Skyway.

Shelby Forthright: Buy N Large started operation in the year 2008 as a small business literally run from a pile of garbage. When our first CEO, John Catmull, won the lottery, he spent the money by expanding his business around the galaxy. He expanded so much, in fact, that he made Buy N Large a world government, retired, and appointed me as the new CEO.

Robot: Now approaching Star Tours Anaheim.

C3PO: Hello! I am C3PO, and this is my counterpart R2D2. Welcome to the Star Tours Tomorrowland Spaceport.

Robot: Now approaching Tatooine Traders.

Shelby Forthright: For your convenience, the ground crew at Tatooine Traders will be glad to rocket ship to any planet in the galaxy.

Mickey Mouse: That's right! It's out of this world! Ha-ha!

Robot: Now arriving at Space Mountain, Tomorrowland's gateway to the galaxy.

Neil Glenn: Greetings from Space Mountain dispatch. High-speed rockets are now boarding to blast off to all intergalactic destinations. Departures out of space every few seconds from all launch areas.

(The Star Tunnel music from Florida begins to play as you are surrounded by a diorama depicting the solar system.)

Shelby Forthright: As you can see, Space Mountain makes ordinary space travel an adventure; another fine transportation service provided by the Buy N Large Transit Authority.

Robot: Now approaching American Dreams!

Traffic Report: Hello there, Tomorrowland travelers This is Mr. Johnson in Sky View Hovercraft-1 bringing you the latest Buy N Large Transit report. As usual, everything is perfect on Tomorrowland's super highways. Back to you at Buy N Large Headquarters.

Joe Hursh*: Attention, all visitors from Galaxy D-55, please keep forward-facing tentacles clear of oncoming metroliner vehicles. Thank you.

Shelby Forthright: The centerpiece of Buy N Large Transit Authority is the Cosmic Autopia. This symbol of universal progress and interplanetary culture provides all beings with an exhilarating spin on the fast lane.

Female Announcer: Paging Mr. Curie, Mr. Mark Curie. Your party from Saturn has arrived. Please give them a ring.

Robot: Now approaching Forthright Lagoon!

Joe Hursh: Remember Blue Line passengers, for all your future travel needs, Buy N Large services all of Tomorrowland's outlining areas, including the personal rocket ship docking lot and, of course, Perfect Park Acres, the latest neighborhood in Walt Disney's Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.

Star Command Recruiter: Citizens of Tomorrowland, join Buzz Lightyear on a daring space mission to save the universe from the evil Emperor Zurg. Report to Star Command and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Shelby Forthright: Welcome back to Space Port Alpha at the heart of Tomorrowland. Come now, rejoin us and believe in the promise of tomorrow.

Robot: Now arriving, final destination, Space Port Alpha Station.

2. something new in innoventions
American Dreams
Presented by Apple.
Description in park's guide map: "Revolve on a carousel through time to discover how American history will forever influence our lives."
You enter the former Innoventions building through a time warp, similar to the Rainbow Corridor that used to be seen at EPCOT's ImageWorks. The colors representing time travel here are mainly blues and whites, with a little bit of purple. Exiting the "time warp," you enter a scientific research center, similar to the one seen in the preshow video of Body Wars. This is the first theatre in the carousel. Here, an Audio-Animatronic scientist named Tom Morrow briefly explains his newest experiment.

(The CTX theme from Dinosaur begins to play as Tom Morrow begins to speak.)

Tom Morrow: Hello, friends. Welcome to MITT, the Metropolis Institute of Time Travel. Today, we are conduction an experiment whose results may forever change the world. That experiment involves sending a number of people through time to discover the American dream and its impact on our daily lives. The periods we'll be traveling to range from the days of Plymouth Rock to the America of today. In order to experience time travel, you need to refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and flash photography at all times. Thank you. And now, the experiment starts in five, four, three, two, one. May the American adventure begin.

(The show is split into five scenes, each represents a different period in American history. Time warp sounds similar to the light-speed effects in Mission to Mars are heard during each rotation. The first scene is in MITT, where Dr. Tom Morrow tells us that we are traveling throughout American history. The second scene, representing the 17th Century, shows the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock and discovering the Native Americans. The third scene, representing the 18th Century, is at Valley Forge. This scene is almost a direct copy of the Valley Forge scene in EPCOT's American Adventure. The fourth scene, representing the 19th Century, is at the Battle of Gettysburg, where we hear the battle plans of the Confederacy and the Union, respectively. The fifth scene, representing the 20th Century, takes place in a suburban house in Southern California, where Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak are founding the Apple Corporation. The unload stage shows the Golden Dreams film from EPCOT's American Adventure, with a twist on showing how American industries have influenced the world yesterday, today, and and the future.

3. redo 1 restaurant
The Mos Eisley Cantina
Formerly the Tomorrowland Terrace, this restaurant serves up intergalactic goodies such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and salads. While you dine, a band of aliens from songs from all around Tomorrowland and EPCOT. The restaurant is designed to be hidden deep in a cave.

4. new paint scheme/architecture
The new paint scheme in Tomorrowland consists of blues, whites, yellows, and greens, while the architecture is a combination of those found in Tokyo Disneyland's Tomorrowland and in the 1982 version of EPCOT's Future World.

*Joe Hursh is the man who currently does the spiel on WDW's buses and monorails.

My Submission

do something to the peoplemover track
the obvious answer IMHO is to re-reconfigure the rocket rods back to people mover track and bring back the people mover. Its a great piece of Disney history and is always popular at WDW so it should continue in its original form at DL.

something new in innoventions +5 no movie bonus
Innoventions will receive a new ride called Horizons: Past, Present, Future. It will be a kind of mix between Carousel of Progress and Horizons taking you through scenes of Tom Morrow's family from the past, present, and future showing how technology has developed over time. It will be in the style of a classic dark ride / show type element, and should have a sort of mix between nostalgia and thrill for guests that will make the ride very popular. there is also a new ride vehicle that will be in effect. As there will be too many scenes for there to be a rotary, the ride needs to be in dark ride fashion and instead you have to bring the seating to it. there will be stands type seating on larger versions of tracks from an Omnimover and they will hold 5 rows of people up and 10 people per row. The vehicles will be spaced out enough so that there will be one at each scene, one at load, and one at unload. the queue will be similar in look to that of space mountain's, keeping with the futuristic vibe, and for an interactive element Tom Morrow's son Tom Morrow Jr. will have a little game show as you walk passed where you have to answer questions about technology and can press buzzers on the railing to input your answer. You then get onto the ride vehicle and it begins to move you to the first scene. In each scene, walls shut on either side to keep the other scene from spilling in to the one you are currently in. In all of the scenes, as in CoP, you see Tom Morrow and his family progress through time as he narrates to you. You start in the time before electricity with the ride then taking you through to the present and then the future. there will be about 10-15 scenes each the same amount of time to help timing of the attraction. you then exit your ride vehicle and on your way out you see some of the newest technologies displayed before in the final scene up close behind glass on either side as a moving walk way carries you away. also another addition to innoventions will be the removal of the bathrooms in the area of the old skyway station and a new addition to be made to the side of the building. this will be the new location of the Starcade. It will be slightly smaller then its current version but the space needs to make way for a new attraction.

redo 1 restaurant + 5 for movie idea
The tomorrowland terrace will be transformed in to Jumba's Madhouse restaurant. It will be themed to Jumba's lab and the story is that now that Jumba is now friendly and no longer insane, he along with Pleakly transformed the lab into a restaurant. At the entrance, an AA' Pleakly greets you and interacts with guests. The restaurant will serve exciting new space themed Asian fare and become a full service dinner show. The dinner show will be run by Stitch and will be a variety act with some of his mutated friends. they will be the latest in AA technology and will be located on a redesigned tomorrow land stage that will bring the stage indoors and part of the restaurant. it will feature minor pyrotechnics and other exciting effects that will entertain everyone. it will serve lunch and dinner with 4 shows during the day.

Other Additions
In place of the starcade, a two theater Alien Encounter will be revived in DL. It will be the same concept as the WDW version but with updated AA's. Next The Imagination theater will have a new show featuring Dream Finder and Figment as scientists use futuristic technologies to tap into your subconscious and Captin EO will finally be retired. Finally the monorail will be reinstated with new gates at the exit for ticket collection and new stations at both hotels and DCA.

Overall:63/60 Wow! :sohappy:
What I liked:
I loved your ideas for the PM track! the APs and fans would love your version and apperciate it thanks to all the references. (Brava Centauri, XS Tech, Mr. Johnson, EPCOT acronym, ect). I also liked your "American Dreams". I loved how you included Tom Morrow. You kept it futuristic enough to go in Tomorrowland, unlike America Sings. I liked your colours for Tomorrowland too. I liked the Mos Eisley Cantina a lot. I loved the idea of aliens preforming on the stage like in the cantina from the movie.
What I didn't like:
I wish you could've explained more about the other things in the land that are new (Tatooine Traders, Cosmic Autopia, Forthright Lagoon). I didn't think that the invention of the PC was really of similar importance to the Pigrims, Valley Forge, or Gettysburg. Maybe a different scene would've been better.

What I liked:
I liked having the alien encounter in tomorrowland. I also really liked Horizons: P, P, F. You brought back Tom Morrow too! (Though this time he's human) Wonderful! I thought your new restaurant for the Tomorrowland Terrace was very clever. Thank you for a new show in the Magic Eye. Captain EO has run it's course. I like the new stops on the Monorail.
What I didn't like:
You could've gone more into detail on the Peoplemover. I don't think Horizons, the Lab restaurant, or alien encounter would fit in the space that's there...
