Trip Report The Father & Son Chronicles...

Hello, hi there...welcome to my report....How you doin'?.....

rizzo.jpg

It's been a hot minute since I have done a TR but with some encouragement from a certain WDW Magician, and some down time built in to the trip, I will give it another whirl...Hope I don't get dizzy....

Quick intro:
Who: Me and my oldest of 3 sons, Liam.
Why: Liam is entering middle school(7th grade), did excellent in his last elementary year and improved tremendously in soccer over the last year.
Where and When: All Star Sports: June 10th-15th.

I cannot tell a lie, I was due for a vacation myself and when I started looking, the Mrs. wanted me to take all of the boys, I shot that down. Then she wanted to come as well, she retracted. So the original plan stuck and here we are...

So, to all that come to this happy report, Welcome!

A nice flight down with some bumps around MCO and we were down in no time.

We signed up for the new Bag Check service with United and AS Resorts so we didn’t have to get our bags. Works just like before, they send tags really similar to the long yellow ones and have a bag tracker system as well.

Once at the resort, it was about 1 hour wait from landing to delivery to resort. We were waiting for our room in the lobby and saw them being delivered so we asked to grab them instead of going to our room later on.

Liam and I were going to take advantage of the free Water Park perk and go to Blizzard Beach at some point in the evening but as we sat for a long time waiting for our room, we decided to grab our suits, change and head over around 2:00pm.

Of course, we get in the parking lot and our room text comes though! DOH!!

We stayed put and went in to BB, but it would only be for about an hour as the 3 o clock storms closed everything and per the radar would have been a while before re-opening. Liam did manage to get on Summit Plummet for the first time while I sat at the bottom waiting for him....been there, done that, got a water wedgy.....

I was happy our room was set and we got exactly what I requested, ground floor, Surfs Up and really close to the food court and lobby....Score!!

Liam and I are headed to DS to see the Mandalorian and Grogu!

Then After Hours Glow Party tonight at Typhoon Lagoon!!

Yay! I have been looking for a TR from you ever since I saw Liam’s cameo in another TR.

Can’t wait to hear what you say about the Glow Party. There is one when we will be there so we decided to go even though neither my daughter (just shy of 21 yo) nor I are big water ride people. But I love a good lazy river as does she so I think we will be very happy just going round and round on that.

JUNE 11th: Magic Kingdom day!

Liam's trip, Liam's choice of parks. He chose "wisely"......

Plan was to hit Tomorrowland for early entry and then Tron when it opened to get our first ride in...

Liam said he wanted to hit Tron first but the CM said it wasn't open until 9, buuuuut....they moved the line from down by the sign to up the ramp, so we jumped in and hoped to get lucky. A managerial type kept moving us forward and to our surprise, let us in the building and down to the inside switchbacks and within about 20 minutes to 9, we were on!!!

Just got back from the rained-out Glow Party at TL... We arrived around 645 and had about 2 hours worth of fun until they closed the water rides and the wave pool. Huge thunder and lightning ruined the night but better safe than sorry....

Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, tomorrow.....

G'nite!

After we clinched the win in the Grid, we made the rounds in Tomorrowland. Space Mountain was walk on, same with People movers but Buzz was about 20 min.

I must say, after riding twice, the new Buzz is miles better than the old version. Easier to play, effects were spot on, you can see where your laser gun fires and new targets were very responsive.

They crushed the update!

Snack time and then short waits allowed Liam and I to hit the track a few times on the Speedway. I sat out the second and third runs!

He was having a time!
