I was checking my personal e-mail and I saw a spam-ish e-mail from Papa Johns re. their promotional $12 Philly cheesesteak pizza for the Super Bowl.
Whoa!😏 I totally forgot about the Super Bowl! I think this year is the most disinterested I've ever been. The Rams got there with the help of 2 referees who froze instead of throwing the much deserved flag......and the Patriots have been in the Super Bowl numerous times.
Does anyone else feel a lack of excitement for this upcoming event?

I only watch the Super Bowl because i'm forced to be social. Even then I leave at halftime.

Wow, that's really cool that you can do a virtual tour!! DD would LOVE that. She loves Sketchup and drawing, and computer programming, etc. At her school, they have Technasium for the top 2 levels, and they all have to do that class for junior high, but they can drop it after their 2nd year. At first, she really wasn't sure if she was going to want to do it, but now it's one of her favorite classes. They trade that on and off with art, though, and today was her last technasium class for this quarter, so now she has art again, and then she'll have technasium again later. But basically, local businesses give the groups a project to research and design. DD's group worked on something cardboard for this company that makes cardboard cutouts for packaging, and they were looking to expand. DD's group came up with a pooper scooper, and the company might actually use their design, which is cool. Her mentor actually has designed a lot of products and was just asked to help design a "plushy"? (whatever that is) for a youtuber. This is one of the things he designed, I guess. http://www.yorritvanderstaay.nl/product-ontwerp/yin-yang-stoel/
Anyway she loves that class!

Cool for her and about her mentor..!!! :)
Early on, I also thought about getting into the industrial design field, as well as advertising.
I took art classes all the way through junior high and through my sophomore year of HS, and then switched to that 3-hr./day morning drafting class my last 2 years of HS.
Late in my sophomore year, when I told my art teacher of 2 years that I was switching to drafting class for the rest of HS, I got a griping out from her the likes of which I had never experinced before for from one of my teachers...!!!!!:hilarious:
She was so upset that I was gonna’ take my artistic abilities and use them to draw straight lines for plans to use for building...she was honestly ed...!!!!!:hilarious:
Sorry teach, but, at the time, I chose what I thought was a more practical career path than the very potential “starving artist” option...!!!!! :hilarious:;)

Here is a pic of the only art class drawing I have left from way back in the day, and it’s extremely yellowed and faded...a hawk that I drew in 7th grade...

Also, in my esrly 40’s, I took 2 stained glass classes, and also got into wood carving for a bit.
I took both a leading and copper foil stained glass class, but, gave both of those panels to my late aunt and godmother, so, unfortunately, I have no pics, although I’m pretty sure my uncle still has them.
Here’s also a pic of a bear I started carving out of a block of wood that I never completely finished, but, oldest DD loved it anyway, so I gave it to her...!!! :)

Anyway, and again, so very cool about your DDs (and both of your kiddos) schooling...!!! :)

Question... have any of you done a Disney charm bracelet? Not Pandora, but I thought I saw a saw a shop when we were there that had a big display of random charms for maybe kids bracelets?
I did them years ago. Honestly, the harms weren't very good and I did lose one. If you're going to do it, do the necklace version and avoid charms with rhinestones. I would also paint the backs with a clear coat of nail polish.

I did a little happy dance tonight... my lost outdoor kitty came home. In the freezing temps I was afraid he was a goner. =(

His name is Buddy, he is a feral kitty who just decided to follow us on our walk one day... very lovey.... and he's been walking with us for 2.5 years now. If I didn't have two indoor cats that would disown me, I would totally let him in permanently.

He makes himself at home on the patio in the summer
