Great update!

Just one thing, the only reason that Innoventions is looking more open is because the plants that are there are half dead. Its more open yes, but it is anything from clean looking, not even close.

In all honesty, since horticulture is either unwilling or unable to keep the Innoventions area nicely manicured, they should just pull out every plant surrounding the buildings, throw some mulch down, and leave it that way. At least it would clean, not to mention it would open everything up again.

And no disrespect to Mr. Imagineer, but just because something is fake looking doesn't mean it has to be removed. And if it had to be removed, the it should have been replaced by a more realistic looking projection (and simply saying that the budget didn't allow for a replacement is a rather lame excuse. If that was the case, it shouldn't have been removed.)

Glad to see FON is good, but what is with this problem with those two spouts? It had that in December, albeit much, much smaller.

I've always assumed those little spouts were some kind of pressure-relief from the fountain system...

They kinda look like the (annoying) rooster tails on jet skis.

They didn't like how it looked, and they didn't have the budget to make it a better projection to make it look less fake. Personally, I agree with the taking it away.

I just have two issues with this:
- I don't think fully functional things should be removed without having a replacement. If you don't have a replacement, then don't remove anything. "something is better than nothing"
-I find it borderline comical that a top imagineer pulls a projection effect due to its realism considering that projections play such a key part in nearly every recently built attraction. For that matter, might as well turn off 180 top's projectors because they certainly don't produce a realistic effect.

I disagree, I like it a lot better without the projection.

Are you referring to the star fields? Because it is a very accurate planetarium.

I'm with SirGoofy. If an effect doesn't look good/realistic, and the show isn't harmed by its removal, I see no problem in taking it out. It's one of the rules that I, as a theater tech, follow when working on a show.

Very nice, but reading the thread title immediately raised my hopes then dashed them for having a Bloomin' Onion in this thread.

Sorry if it's an odd question, but is the elephant topiary new? I doubt it is, but I want to say it's from Fantasia...

I seem to recall them as well from last year.....

Agreed. Seeing that they have half of the Moonbase up there, too. You can see where the stars end and the base begins.

Same thing with the Earth. Why is it still flat? Seimens has GREAT projection tech out in the post show on that sphere....180 Top is screaming for it!

Yes. Thanks.

EPCOT always looks great in the spring (even if it IS stil winter for another month!). Wish they could always have it looking so vibrant.

Thank you so much for the pics of the various topiary. I am thrilled that I get to see this first hand this year. My mom is a florist so she should really appreciate this event.

Thanks again.
