Cool. Do let us know how long it takes.

I wish I could afford (both cash and space) more Legos. The Lego Architecture series is full of great models and that 4 foot long model of the Executioner looks fun and intimidating all at once.

Holy cow - my son would freak. The biggest Lego set we have is the Venagor Class Republic Attack Cruiser and I think it's about half the pieces. That took us roughly 18 hours to put together - all day long for 2 solid days. It has 24 minifigures so just those alone take a while to find all the pieces. Do they bag the pieces room by room?

This one is bagged modular.. so no need to do the crazy sorting like you have to do with some of the earlier models.

I was debating on getting the imperial shuttle since that's such a solid kit.. but couldn't turn down the Death Star when I finally had a decent shot at getting it without getting in too much trouble :)

We literally could open a Lego store. The Star Wars sets are my weakness - they are so super awesome I can't say no.

I'm lucky enough to have a Lego store nearby :) My kids play with them some, but they don't maintain a full-time interest... and I also after the sets. Reality is Lego is so expensive vs what you get... but I had birthday money to spend so this didn't feel so guility :)

I really liked last year's Star Wars Advent calendar... but they jacked this year's kit up 66% in price! Not sure if the pieces look as good this time, but bought one anyways.

We got the advent calendar. It really is awesome. Unfortunately my son didn't get the idea of one each day and opened and put together all of them in about an hour.

Hehe.. Start him with a chocolate one to try to establish the idea. We let the kids do theirs each night as dessert

By far the best minifig in the advent calendar was the Yoda dressed as Santa. I giggle every time I see it because it is just so silly looking.

The mini Slave I is pretty cool too.

My son has an encyclopedia of Lego Star Wars minifigs and we read 3 figures each night before bed. It's awesome - it tells you the sets they came in, the variants between sets, etc. Perfect for any Lego Star Wars geek (of which I am TOTALLY one!!)

I assume you are familar with http://www.brickset.com and http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/LEGO_Wiki

They give all the set info, cross references, etc. They are awesome just to browse.. and scout your next purchases :)

I have soooo many Legos put away. Both of my kids were fans. I have most of the "directions" but all of the blocks are color sorted.
