I booked Boma for a late dinner after a day at Sea World but after looking over the menu again and then seeing some reviews and pic's from Teppan Edo I'm thinking about changing my adr. Need some input.

Just keep in mind that Teppan Edo requires admission to Epcot while Boma is at Animal Kingdom Lodge (so no park admission)

NO Brainer Teppon Teppon Teppon.. Wonderful steak and shrimp or Steak and Chicken. This does not have an asian taste just good grilled meats.. Boma is the hugest waste of Money and time. It is horrible in our opinion. You have to like weird food and very little offerings for picky eaters go teppon. It's entertaining and you will NOT be disappointed.

Teppan Edo isn't much different than your local Japanese Steakhouse. The food is good, but, to me, its not a really special meal. However, Boma has some of my favorite foods at the world, specifically the coconut carrot soup and the zebra mounds. And if you are coming from a long day at a park it may not be enjoyable to have to park, enter, and trek across another park for dinner.

My vote is for Boma.

I would choose Teppan Edo, as long as you don't mind paying for park entrance after you've already been in another park all day. I prefer the food there, my husband strongly prefers it there.

I liked Boma, but my husband did not. He's a picky eater, and Boma has excellent foods but some of it is very different. If there's any picky eaters in your group, check out the menu first to see some examples of what you'll find on the buffet.

I'm just going to throw out my two cents that I'm one of the pickiest eaters alive, often get harassed for it and usually finds me to be the butt of a lot of jokes for it, and I LOVED boma.

The food was definitely unique but there was such a variety I was very pleased.

That said, teppan edo is my favorite restaurant on property so that would be my pick...

Boma, without a doubt. Keep the reservation. It's one of my favorite restaurants at WDW.

You can have the exact same experience as Teppan Edo at your local Japanese steakhouse, and at a fraction of the price. If you can get it anywhere, why pay more to get it at WDW? Boma is unique.

Boma. Hands down favorite place to eat at wdw.

Yes, the foods are unique but a they are all very, very good and not exotically weird.... Just different takes on stuff you eat regularly.

Zebra domes alone make it worth going!

hmm, you guys aren't making this easy. We have 10-day park hopper passes and a rental car for going to Sea World so getting to either place won't be a problem. Since we will already be out and about maybe I'll just keep the Boma ressie and do Edo next trip. Thanks for all the help.

You should try Boma once. It is my husband's favorite place due to the variety and unusual offerings. Being more of a picky eater when it comes to spices, it is my least favorite place. I am able to find enough by eating the soups, salads and the desserts (of course....love those Zebra Domes.) Try it and also take in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is beautiful.

We have tried this place 3 times and all three were the same it never got better.. They are always out of salads. I paid 30 plus dollars to have a salad 1 salad size of a cereal bowl. I waited up there forever they do not refill enough and its just plain not good food in our opinion. Not for that amount of money..A $30 plus dollar salad and then I am hungry and have to pay again to get something... The desserts are not any special thing either. Chef Mickeys has the same thing they just do not call them zebra domes alot less money even though it has bland cafeteria type food. Even my husband that eats weird things like duck wild game etc. Said never to book this place again. You have to like very weird food not hot spicy just not normal. If it was good and a bit weird that's one thing but hard as we tried the 3 times its just a no go. Same with Ohanas it has gone down in service and quality. The meats are very dry or undercooked for pork and chicken. Again ate salad and they never brought more refills for the 5 of us..Not of anything..

You realize it's all you care to eat, right? You could have filled that cereal bowl up 60 times if you so desired.

According to the official site, Chef Mickey's and Boma are the exact same price for dinner.

You have to like very weird food not hot spicy just not normal.

What exactly makes the food "very weird" and "not normal"? Because you don't like it? Because it's different? Because it's not the same processed food you can get at any rest stop on an interstate?

Heaven forbid some people expand their palette a bit...

I am currently debating if we should go to Teppen Edo. So since I have been to Boma and not sure of Teppen Edo, my vote is for Boma. Also, I believe you will get more for your money. And lastly, I discovered the magic of the upside down pineapple cheese cake while at Boma. And 2 words - zebra domes.

Just ate at Boma tonight! Very disappointed. Have eaten here before and enjoyed it but things were different tonight. All of the meats are on the same station. It took 10 plus minutes in line just to get a small piece of beef(3 bites). then you had to wait in line for the sides and such. Spent at least 15 mins in line the first time tonight and 10 minutes each time we wanted meat. Never had this problem before. Unacceptable. Counted at least 10 empty tables so not sure why the backup. Spoke with a manager, they smiled politely, said all of the right things.

Basically this meal has turned into cheap buffet roast beef, baked chicken pieces, weird starchy vegetables, humus, and soup.

We won't be back.
