My DS and I had a wonderful trip in October. I decided to do anther trip in the spring but to mix it up we decided to stay in the EPCOT resort area. Every previous trip me stayed in the Magic Kingdom area. We made the decision as we enjoyed DHS and the restaurants in the EPCOT international area.

That said, any insights into the EPCOT area would be welcome.

Thanks

That is our favorite area to stay and the Yacht Club is out favorite hotel. Stormalong Bay (the main pool for both Yacht & Beach Club) is scheduled to be closed for refurb from January 2025 until June 2025 so if the pool is a major factor in your decision to stay there, you might want to reconsider. There is a quiet pool at Yacht Club and two at Beach Club but they are smaller and do have slides, etc.
That being said, we enjoy the Yacht Club and find it quieter than Beach Club due to its smaller size and it seems that more families with younger kids tend to stay at Beach Club. The main selling point for us is the easy walking distance to Epcot and the option to get to Hollywood Studios either by walking or by boat. You can also use the Skyliner to get to the Studios. Being able to walk to several hotels (Beach Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin) opens up numerous dining options. We find the area relaxing as well. Enjoy your trip.

I can speak to my experience with the Yacht Club club level accommodations and service....for the money it's just mediocre. The light snacks are served in a space a little larger than a butler ls pantry and just above going down to the quick service. The coffee bar is excellent.

Bus service to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Disney Springs during busy times may take you a few bus passes to get a seat as its shared with Beach club.

The upsiside is Epcot and Swolfin dining.

You will love the area because after the parks close for the night (which always seems to be earlier and earlier), this area remains alive and open with things to do. Dining, dancing, shopping, mini golfing, and other activities abound, whereas other Resorts are more secluded and the offerings are less. We love Yacht, for it's upscale feel and after dark activities.
Have a great trip.

I really like the Yacht Club. I find that in general the Deluxe Resorts in that area don't have the best quick service food options, but being that close to not only Epcot but the Swan and Dolphin, make up for it. You can't beat the location for getting to Epcot. Definitely worth a stay.

we stayed at the YC october 2023 & returning there next week. it’s a prime location due the proximity to HS & Epcot, & as others mentioned, there’s numerous dining options from the surrounding resorts. we had a water view room & thought it was worth it for the views & watching the Epcot fireworks from the patio.

Besides being able to walk to two parks, the food for dinner is the best.

Flying Fish
Shula's
Bluezoo
Il Mulino(It's good not great)
Kimonos

We have small kids so being able to walk to all those dinners is pretty nice....
