News Target coming to Walt Disney World and Disney Store shop-in-shop coming to Target stores

My Dad once got 2 kids Halloween costumes and was missing an item. Guest Services said they were going to email him a shipping label to return the costumes. Never got the email. He figured he tried. After a year, he gave them to a friend to sell on Facebook.
He could have called them back. In my experience, the customer service at ShopDisney is excellent, even if the website itself leaves a lot to be desired.

Just wanted to say that all of the Targets adjacent to Walt Disney World are insanely better experiences than any of the Walmarts. If you vacation here, for the love of god do your grocery shopping at Target or Publix!

There is one Walmart exception and that is the one in Winter Garden, but that is probably too far for any resort.

Isn’t that the story of Target vs. Walmart everywhere?

Meh - target keeps narrowing what they carry making it less and less reason to go there. Walmarts vary greatly in terms of their operation - but at least you can count on their range of offerings to exist. Ever since the last redo of target a few years ago where they look more and more like department stores, they seem to carry less and less. Even simple things like office supplies are getting sparse at target. I had to ship my printer ink to me simply because they don't stock it in store anymore.

I only bought it at target so they don't cancel my redcard. If you don't use it like every 5-6months, they cancel it.

I’ve noticed this too, their stores have a terrible stock problem, Walmart is more stressful but usually has better selection

About Walmart...they may seem like they have a better selection - When they aren't completely out of something or selling non-existent stock on their website. They have many of the same inventory issues the ShopDisney site has. It's terrible - and this was long before pandemic shortages and is an ongoing problem.

I do 99.9% of my shopping in person so never had website issues.

It's not just the website - it's in-store, too. I had thought it was the fault of a purchaser, but it turns out it's all automated...but things don't happen in real-time, so they often run out of stock in the store after the order has already been placed, so it doesn't make it onto the next arriving truck, so they're out of it for as long as a week. And this is in the grocery section...the part you'd think they'd want to keep adequately stocked.
