Good to hear! I thought the movie was fantastic!
It's only the second 3D flick I have ever seen (outside of WDW) and it really made the experience even better.

Good movie, for sure...

...but not as good as "The Princess and the Frog," in our family's opinion, and still a far cry from the depth of a Pixar film. In particular, I found the songs forgettable, for the most part, and not as good as Newman's soundtrack for "The Princess and the Frog." Thankfully, however, it's much more sincere and less sarcastic (less "Shrek-y") than the trailers and commercials suggest.

I thought this when I first saw it, but since it's grown on me. However, not better than TPatF's soundtrack, not even close.

We saw it this afternoon, and even with DD (age 2) running back and forth across the aisle, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially liked the music. Very cute.

The local "movie critic" here did not like the movie, but liked the music...go figure. I myself, am looking very forward to seeing this with family and adding more music to my library! :sohappy:

Took eight people on the weekend and everyone agreed that it was the best DISNEY film in years and years. All thumbs up.

I liked the songs--though couldn't whistle one now, but that's unimportant.

Great characters, GREAT animation.

I felt Glen Keane all over this one. Although it was a 3D CGI film, it "felt"
hand-drawn. Iconic poses, and the classic style of Disney animation
finally brought to the 3D world.

The horse and the chameleon were great.
Lanterns, great.

Really--everything. I'm not sure it's a classic--but it sure is satisfying, and I hope it makes a pile of bucks.

First movie in a long time that fits naturally into the parks, too. Rapunzel could get a tower in the new FLE and that would be just fine with me. Couldn't say that about Bolt, Chicken Little, or even (sue me) Princess and the Frog. PATF was enjoyable--but I can't put my finger on why it didn't work. Something tells me it was pacing, because I did like the characters, the music, and the animation.

In any event, yay for TANGLED!

Saw it this weekend and as far as story goes we loved it. The music for the most part is forgettable. I liked the "Mama knows best" song but that is the only one I can remember at all. "The Princess and Frog" soundtrack kicks all kindsof butt.

We saw it on Wednesday and I broke down and bought the 3d ticket and I am so glad we did! Loved the movie! My 11 year old son LOVED Maximus..he laughed the whole time! Flynn was cute and Rapunzel was sweet.....Oh the "cupid" guy was hysterical!

We all loved it loved it loved it. I wrote this in the other thread as well. We would compare it to the Mermaid, Beauty, Alladin, Lion King stretch. Musically it was close, but not quite up to the Ashman/Menken tunes and score. But it felt close since Menken was involved.

What was fun was that we thought it would be good but not great. We walked out astounded. The audience applauded. You couldn't hum the tunes but my son was quoting the characters for 24 hours.

Maximus was soooooooo funny and such a well developed character. We really liked Flynn and Repunzel as well.

What really set it apart for me from The Princess and the Frog was the pacing and how well the music drove the story. It felt like a full and complete film. And I liked The Princess and the Frog.....but I didn't love it. My whole family LOVED Tangled. I hope it does a zillion dollars.

I saw it this weekend and loved it! I want to go and see it again. I thought it was a beautiful story with perfect humor. The characters were great too with the villain being so manipulative and mentally abusive and the others being so likeable. Very impressive movie!
