Swan or Dolphin?

Need opinions on Swan vs Dolphin? I’m using points, it’s just my adult daughter and I, so the double beds are fine at the Dolphin. I’m leaning towards the Dolphin due to Fuel, Fresh Mediterranean Market & Picabu. We likely won’t use the pools. I hear both hotels have been renovated. Thoughts?

Both hotels are very nice, and I've stayed at both of them. The Dolphin is larger, and has more outlets. (I prefer the SWAN, because it's smaller and a bit more low key.). However, from what you mentioned above, I think the Dolphin is definitely the better choice for you and your daughter, as it has everything you prefer under one roof. Enjoy your vacation!

The hotels are so close to each other, I wouldn't let the restaurants effect you decision. We often eat in Picabu even when we are staying at the Swan.

I prefer Swan because it's smaller and a bit more quiet feeling. The rooms are usually a bit larger too.

I often would go to the Dolphin to eat at Fresh, Picabu or the Fountain. I wouldn't pick based on restaurants. Though ages ago when I was into karaoke, being in the Swan was a bonus.

If one is significantly cheaper than the other, go with that. Swan books up faster than the Dolphin in general and I can usually find better rates at the dolphin because of that.

The Swan is smaller, maybe a little quieter. We usually stay at which ever is cheaper. Also, if it isn't busy when you go they may upgrade you to an EPCOT view, high up. You can see the Fireworks from there.

All the amenities are at the Dolphin: gym, laundry, 24 hour restaurant, ice cream shop, grab-and-go. The Swan does have an almost imperceptible amount of extra luxe-ness in the room, but, not having to walk over to another building for the amenities beats that, IMO. Also, they're about to embark on a complete re-do of their lobby (like they did with the Dolphin, so, no chance of running into construction walls at the Dolphin.

We opt for the Swan because it has queen beds. Haven't stayed since last Dec, but last time I checked, it's doubles at the Dolphin. We had a nice view of DHS and could see their fireworks...no upgrade needed.

The Swan rooms usually have a larger bathrooms and has that wonderful lobby smell, but the Dolphin's rooms tend to be in better shape. We stay at both frequently. I will always choose the Dolphin over the Swan. Clientele wise, the Swan caters more to families and the Dolphin caters more to business people, if that matters to you.
