I love that they got the blasts in time to the music almost perfectly! Although I could do with one or two less "Nighttastic!" references, it was good all in all. Removing King Trition was a good idea, too. The story works way better now.

As some of you may know, I am a major Disney fireworks show junkie. I planned a solo trip about 3 years ago, just so that I would be able to be at WDW to attend a MP&PP, but they did not run them that year and I was pretty disappointed to have never been able to see that show in person. Flashing forward to the Summer Nightastic promotion, when I found out that the SN!FS program was going to be largely the same production, I knew that I had to go. Last year we had decided to go to WDW for the F&W festival this year and celebrate my partner's birthday while there, but this was a huge game changer. We looked over the entire summer's plans & schedules and made our plans to go in early August because that was the earliest with Gabby's work schedule that we could travel and it just happened to time out to be during the week that has our 11th anniversary in it. Thankfully, when the Nightastic promotion dates officially came out, we had just squeaked in under the wire to enjoy the last week of the promotion. :sohappy:

I watched the video just a few minutes ago and I know now that even if it's 104 degrees outside and 110% humidity, that we made the right choice. Disney has done a great job adapting the fireworks program and I can't wait to see it in person. Even with the forced Nightastic referrences, this show still works and even with the alterations is still very powerful and beautiful.

I can't wait until August 9th, when I will have my first chance to see this in person!

The original Happy Hallowishes is still my favorite MK Firework display. Summer Nightastic is good, but it feels kind of disconnected. I didn't "feel" anything until the Pirates theme started. The attack on the castle is pretty sweet, but then the story concludes somewhat abrubtly.

Fun, but I will probably not stay to see it more than one or 2 more times over the summer.

We were fortunate enough to view the public premier of this show on Saturday. We felt it was very slow to start... to the point that you actually miss Wishes. There is no story line to speak of (something we've grown accustomed to with Disney's fireworks) and the first 1/3 of the show leaves very little to be desired. However, once it gets to the Pirates segment, it's all glory and praises to the Disney gods from that moment on. The last 2/3 of the show is nothing short of remarkable.

So is this MMM from the PPP, as we were lead to believe it was going to be, or is this a new show? I've never been to that party, so I don't know.

Also, are we thinking that this will have a longer run than just the Summer (like MSEP is going to be), or will Wishes be returning once Nightastic is over?

Yes it is MMM with new narration.

It will not be showing after August 14 2010. Back to Wishes at that point.

We actually left that Saturday of the premier around noon. I would have loved to have stayed but driving 7 hours after that back home would of been a little much.

Wishes has a special place to me as it when I proposed to my wonderful wife. Although I wish I would have seen it I am going to agree from this post that it seemed to take awhile to get started. Maybe I am not allowed to judge since I have not seen it in person and my opinion is bias on Wishes. I did get a chance to view wishes this past week from the same vantage point where I proposed. If Wishes is going away it will definitely be missed by my wife and I.

I won't be making it down this summer so appreciate the posting.

Honestly, I found the whole first half a bit underwhelming. Picked up a bit after that, but way too much narration. If it weren't for the expanded launches and castle attack, I could take or leave it. That said, I'm sure its great to watch in person in the park, as always. Thanks again.

Very good job Steve! Thanks. I liked the attack sequence. That surprised me.

And I agree that the music synchronization was on target.
