Subtle hint on the future of Beastly Kingdom?

I think they'd take the Nessie approach. Continuing along the lines of creatures that could possibly exist without seeming entirely "made-up".

Here's a few European creatures I think would work well:

-Loch Ness Monster
-Kraken
-Dragons of course
-Unicorns
-Tazelwurm
-Griffins
-Pegasus (if approached correctly)
-Roc

would love to see them use the loch ness monster, the kraken and dragons. would also like them to use some real animals in the european section in order to give the continent balance and not just make it some BK substitute...

When I was younger I went through a phase when all I read about was cryptid creatures...and there are a TON from all over the world.

There's everything from the central American chupacabra to the Australian bunyip to the Mongolian deathworms, to the plethura of North American Lake Monsters

IMO I think we're going to see attractions featuring creatures who are presented as plausible (such as the Yeti in EE), instead of Centaurs, Minotaurs, etc.

Those creatures tread to far from what typically makes an "animal". In order to be concurrent with the story of DAK, I think any future cryptid or mythological creature will be presented in a form where it COULD exist in the real world, and not be too farfetched.

Exactly....It's really a fascinating concept that they could use to build the park up....and not just with Thrill Rides. I'm really hoping that Europe does come along. A LOT of BK concept could be used.

The problem with the European mythical creatures is that they would probably appear in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so in many cases they would have to steer clear of some of them. I think something like a Kraken could work in the same vein that the Yeti works as an elusive creature that we are trying to avoid.

I would also like to see Manbearpig in a North America setting.

If a continent is the next expansion, Australia seems to make the most sense, but it doesn't make sense for the Camp Minnie Mickey plot - it makes more sense to take over Dinorama, and I don't think they give up that capacity just yet.

I think that leaves the area between Africa and Asia for a Europe area that could also create a path to Rafiki's Planet Watch. As part of this they could prep an area in Rafiki's Planet Watch (or Africa) for Festival of the Lion King, and that would free up the Camp Minnie Mickey area.

There used to be a Coke Commercial, really annoying. Dancing penguins... polar bears and penguins have a Coke and all is well. The problem is many kids would think such a meeting could occur. Now if a polar bear ever meet a penguin they would not drink the Coke they take one look at the penguin and say..... um a snack.

An underwater realm would be nice. That way, you separate Nemo and Ecology from EPCOT, leaving that for Futurism, and dedicate the DAK portion of it to having myth, fantasy, and reality. It could work.

Polar Bears aren't in South America

haha I meant back when you said it was something that "hasn't really been thought of"

come to think of it though, polar bears don't inhabit Antarctica, but rather the north pole...

meh, the hybrid of Mysterious Island and Beastly Kingdom was much more interesting than another continent... Especially when you can find those other countries mentioned at other theme parks.

Is the MI/BK thing, or whatever it was, really dead?

It would be nice, but not sure we would see it in the next decade. They just put nemo in as much as it kills me the living seas is gone. They wont transplant them so fast.

Australia would be great!!!!

I would like to see more mythical things come to AK. I'd also like to see a ride or something put into Camp Minnie Mickey. I mean I love Festival Of The Lion King, but I'd like to see something else there. I mean if you're going to have a section for kids then make it something more than meet n greets.

Cause pretty much Camp Minnie Mickey is MTTF without the Barnstormer and excessive themeing.
