Yes, if you're willing to spend $250 to be able to spend $29.95 more a piece for each MB.

And it sells out, so I guess there are people willing to fork out $250 to attend a pre-SWW event and get the swag bag.

Any chance they'll have the ones from last year too? I like them a lot better, I just couldn't go last year.

I think they may have sold out - I believe only 2000 were available last year. Most of the recent LE bands (Halloween, Christmas) were 5,000 in number. I was there two weeks ago and was surprised to see the MVMCP band, which was available only at the party, on sale in the Circus Tent in Fantasyland. I guess having a limited release MB for Christmas hurt the sales of the "party only" more expensive band.

That was my guess. Well I'm going on day 2 of the first weekend, I'm sure they'll be gone on day 1 if any were left, but I'll ask around when I go.

Still nothing on celebrities? Do the FP+s for their stage shows go up with the announcement or is getting one just luck at this point? The 60 day mark for weekend 1 was two weeks ago.

Yeah, I made our FP+ selections last week - we're going Week #2 (Memorial Day). I haven't seen any announcements on the Disney site regarding the guest celebrities. Hopefully, we will see something on this board soon. I was bummed that the announcement for Mark Hamill was done so late in the process. And that the LE MBs were announced for sale the day we returned from our weekend.

Question for those of you who have the expensive Lightsabers (not the ones sold at Disney). Do you bring them with you to SWW. If so, what do you do with them on the rides? My daughter gave me the Luke Skywalker Series Force FX Lightsaber for Christmas. I really want to bring it as part of my Jedi costume but I don't want it to get damaged since the blade doesn't retract. And I don't think the lockers are long enough to accommodate it. I am bringing my Jedi robe, though, and hopefully will not pass out from the heat wearing the robe.

I'm sure. It just so happens I'm at WDW while the event is going on. I decided to pass. I'll wait for the 1st weekend. It's not like I won't find a SW item or two. But I'll pay for the item instead of $250 for the opportunity to spend above the $250.

Vader sold out on the last weekend last year, but there were still some Yodas available in the photo shop a month or two after SWW ended. However, the last time I was in there around Christmas, they we're gone. It's entirely possible there's still a stash available somewhere, but it's highly unlikely considering the small edition size.

I tried to find a Yoda the last week of July and first week of August last summer to no avail, they were sold out earlier in July except for one shop in DHS which apparently had them until I got there.

I guess I'll get a new magic band just because I don't know when I'll ever be able to go to Disney specifically on SWW again. The new ones are still unique compared to my small pile of plain magic bands I've collected from resort reservations. It's a souvenir that's also essential for a trip to WDW now, at least I know I'll get some use out of it!

...Just wish there was a dark side one for variety's sake...

Amen... Would love a nice dark red/black version with Vader's likeness or McQuarrie artwork reflecting the dark side.

the first special edition band was a red band with vader on it. it turned the FP+ machines red and played Vader's breathing. i will be wearing mine when i am there the first two weekends of SWW this year! can't wait!

Any reports on the new ones making special sounds? I know even the printed Frozen ones made special sound effects when used. Even a simple lightsaber powering up would make my day!

The previous Star Ones made unique sounds. If I am not mistaken, the Vader one had a breathing sound effect.

We saw some Yodas still around in October. I love my Vader. I wear it with pride and giggle every time I use Photo Pass or a FP+ at DHS.

Yoda bands make the same color green as the usual green, but he says some Yoda thing that is hard to hear.

Vader bands make a red ring and you will hear the Vader breathing noise. So far I have only seen this in DHS FP+ and at all Photo Pass kiosks (that I have tried).

Edit: The Yoda bands were in the Frozen shop on Sunset Blvd in DHS. It was a strange place to see them, but the CM told me the ones he had out (about 10) were the last of them.

I missed out on the SWW bands last year - they announced them the day we returned from our trip. I was seriously tempted to drive back down and snag one.

I agree about the pile of MBs from resort stays. Every time I need a CM to make sure my LE/LR band will open my resort room (yes, it gets linked when I purchase it, but there is linking and then there is LINKING), I get the "wow, you have a LOT of magic bands" comment. Yes, I do. Because every time I make a reservation, I get another set of bands. Disney needs a check box - "no, thanks, I already have 20+ magic bands in my MDE account that I have to deactivate, so I don't need that 25th band." I'd like to be able to trade in all my deactivated bands for something useful, like a turkey leg or Dole Whip. And now I have plenty of DVC sliders for the 5 bands I use. Well, make that six, 'cause I'm definitely getting a SW band.
