If they could make a lightsaber actually look how it does in one of the films it would cost more than 200 bucks and would have been done by those companies that make the high quality sabers a long time ago. Right now as far as realistic saber options you only have 3: you have the plasitc cheap kind that kids get at target or walmart that they have to make a dashing motion to make the blade come out that does not light up, the ones with the light up ability but you still have to make that dashing motion to make the blade come out and the ones that look like a white tube is fixed on the handle already that when you hit the activation button light up the blade color, these kind you can get at savi's and the other saber dealers online but their hilts are better than savi's with more selections. even if you get a nice looking kylo saber with a movie accurate hilt that is expesnive and lights up, its just a white tube that turns red. it does not have that wonky fiery effect kylo's has because there is no way to do that in real life or it would have been done already. so you are going to get a red saber with a cross like kylo's that does not have the fiery blade that is not screen accurate come through a pre cut metal hole with a cover that moves off to the side as the effect takes place on the ride or you will get a cgi projection of the blade coming through to get that fiery effect. so again common sense. temper your expectations for this ride.
Who says we’re without that rapid motion?
Whatever you say.Because that patent that seems to make some people believe Disney can truly do magic, could create a cool effect.
A cool effect using high speed spinning things that will in no way shape or form be close to riders, or even in the same room as them. They would have to be behind glass for safety.
We've seen the troopers before. can you show us something new? like the kylo AA or the hux AA or one of the on ride show scenes or a pic of the AT-AT room or video of that room that is under actual show conditions and not from the tv promo filled with cgi?? i appreciate the behind the scenes pics and all but let's face it, you've seen one storm trooper, you've seen them all.OK...back on topic...
A few F.O. Trooper pictures I am allowed to post now...

i dont mean to sound ungrateful for your pics. at this point i wana see stuff we have not seen from after we board the ride vehicles. i wana see some meat of the ride finally...one pictures is from BEHIND them... ;-) You don't get that in a promo. I'll look through what I have and see what I can do...others can feelk free to share too of course. ;-)

Ok.... i understand it its just hard for me as a visual person to see it though from the pics. i like ride povs because they put me from the perspective of the rider in show conditions. i need a photo like that to make it make sense to me cuz all i see from that photo is a ride vehicle what looks like sand and a bunch of stuff that is unrecognizable or hard for my brain to organize what i am looking at so i cant put the picture together in my head of how the ending is supposed to look, where we exit the vehicle and leave the ride from, and what happens to the vehicles and the escape pod once we exit the ride. i cant wait for some on ride povs in december so this ride makes sense as a whole, especially the ending.this is inside the giant crashed wreckage that your escape pod will "crash" into. The first one shows some of the ride cars after unloading and you can see a crashed escape pod in the background with a Calimari pilot. I've heard supposedly this is Ackbar's son. (no confirmation)
No I get that and it is completley understandable and i appreciate all your behind the scene pics. i just wana see some new stuff from deep within the bowls of the actual ride at this point. i am ready for more...I hear ya. Gotta wait to my images cleared from my source so they don't get in trouble. I'm just posting what I can when I can. ;-)
Like the train. Shouldn’t be an issue. I notice the troopers heads are at different angles. Do some of them move...the person next to you in the ride car. People all stressed because they might not sit with their group. Just sit wherever, make a new friend, and enjoy the ride. People are so upset at the thought that they may have to sit next to a stranger.
Presumably the grouping will work like Simpsons at Universal. All they'll do is separate you into groups of 8 heading into the preshow/holding cell, and once the doors open to the ride vehicle it's up to the riders to sort themselves into the two-rows-of-four vehicle.

Wouldn't be surprised, he debuts in a Star Wars comic tomorrow. #synergyI've heard supposedly this is Ackbar's son. (no confirmation)

A bit like your posts then?
thank you for adding nothing to the conversations except a personal attack which is against forum rules. but i am sure you already knew that. that's what turns me on about you, your attention to detail.A bit like your posts then?
Those patents showing how lasers/light will travel through air look very confusing. I asked a source and the best way they could explain it to me was this... You guys remember playing with those cool LED fans as kids that would say words? Well apparently they will have dozens of these *huge* fans (they pointed to a large round table seating 10 ppl as a reference) spinning very fast in a single room.. they'll spin so fast you wont even see anything there... but will project lasers traveling through thin air when being shot at. Not sure how accurate their analogy is to the real thing but they've been working in the show building for a while, so I trust their judgement.
I was on Astro Blasters the other night and noticed almost the same tech being used in the finale scene where Buzz is shooting Zurg.. I would *guess* that the tech is probably a more advanced/more legit version of this effect.
Check out 5:00 as a reference
