Yesterday was an unrelated issue that hopefully won’t happen again.

May I ask your thoughts about the general trend of technical troubleshooting for RotR? Are problems continuing to be solved, or as it stagnating? If things are continuing to be solved, is there hope for an eventual shift to operating it like a normal attraction? Is that still their goal internally?

Next journey - January 9th. And with the beauty of parking hopping coming back, we are no longer tied to DHS all day (only so many times we can ride the same 8 other rides. 10am open makes the 2pm allowance into new park super easy, as opposed to getting at AK at 8am and having to put 6 hours in before you can go anywhere else :)
With the 7a pass grab now settled in, what’s the park like at rope drop now? Are they still generally letting people in early and opening Runaway Railway early?

Something is really wrong this time!! They’ve only been running one transport per dispatch since 12/4. Track A/Front AT-AT route has been down since then. I’ve seen a couple livestreams the past couple days and it confirms that.

It’s surprising they’re even getting to BG 100+, but maybe it’s because the ride isn’t going down as much as before when they’re running both RVs, despite the reduced capacity of only running 1 of 2 RVs.

Unless they’re intentionally operating the ride without the one problematic lift, hopefully they fix whatever issue is plaguing the lift.

Yes by the time we get into the park at 9:15-9:30 plenty of people are already in and queued
up and all of the rides are usually running. We did Star Tours, MMRR and MFSR before 10am this past time.

Getting into the park is less chaotic now as anyone who wanted a BG has one and not everyone is showing up immediately

One thing we don’t know is if the number of guests in a boarding group is consistent. A BG might represent 100 guests, but if they know going into a day that they are going to be at half capacity then it might only represent 50 guests, for instance.

^this. When plexiglass was added, the ride didn’t see a huge jump in how many boarding groups they call in a day. The groups are a function of how many guests can be dispatched at a time. If they KNOW they won’t be using one of the lifts all day, boarding groups likely have fewer guests per boarding group on that day.

That seems very likely. And since you got a reaction from the Marni himself, you’re most likely right!

It’s just that this hasn’t really happened before, where the lift is down for multiple days in a row (soon to be a week).
