It's apparently linked to a huge CenturyLink outage that was impacting Internet based services all across the country that are all now coming back online.

No idea. There was a seemingly newly recorded announcement saying they would drop at noon but no mention of the 2pm slot.

2pm slots filled in ~10 seconds. Current groups called up 25 (6 groups behind yesterday at this time). Groups did not start being called until just after 12pm.

They tried that for CM previews in July. It was a nightmare. Posted wait was like 120 mins and people reported waiting 4+ hours.

Today’s situation wasn’t completely on Disney either. Systems were down due to a nationwide Centurylink outage.

They tried that for CM previews in July. It was a nightmare. Posted wait was like 120 mins and people reported waiting 4+ hours.

Who cares? guests were waiting in 8-9 hour lines for frozen when it opened as well.. Flight of Passage had 3-4 hour waits for a long time as well.

This fact only proves it further.. Virtual queues exclusively on attractions are 'over engineering' the line. Plain and simple.
