When you are fixing so much of the park, why fix what isn't broken?

Possible but I would argue the attraction is showing its age but again just my opinion. I do hope if it stays the transition is smooth because I don't think anyone can argue it will be slightly odd crammed between two new expansions.

Does anyone know if it is definite that Streets of America will be going away? I know the area will close in early April, and I believe it will be used as a staging area for construction and all, but has there been confirmation that this area will be changing in some capacity moving forward?

This isn't about construction, but is Star Wars related...

Are they still showing the Finn scene every time in Star Tours, or is it just randomized in now?

We're going to WDW in November, and we decided that we are going to skip DHS since there is currently less to do, and we'll be taking our one year old kid. I think I'm going to be able to work in a quick park hop on our Epcot day (while mom and grandparents take baby girl back to resort for nap time), so I am hoping to have like 2-3 hours devoted to Launch Bay and Star Tours (and MAYBE Tower of Terror if I'm lucky, since it's one of my favorite things in the world).

I did see the Finn scene back on March 5th - not sure if it will still featured on every ride in November, but fingers crossed you will get to see it!

1) Yes.
2) I don't think so.

Thanks. I was secretly hoping that at least some of it would return after being used as the holding area during construction. The New York Street area was featured during many of the MMC music videos on the Disney Channel over the years, so at least, I can watch the YouTube videos whenever I miss it.

Because that's what I was told.
Sorry I shouldn't have been so broad. I trust you, but for me personally I just don't think that Muppets will stay, or at least reuse the same shop building for Star Wars land. And personally I hope Muppets doesn't stay, it deserves an actually nice mini-land. What I mean is Star Wars land is getting everything new. I can almost for sure guarantee to anyone without even knowing for sure that they will not reuse pre existing buildings. Toy story midway mania did that because the size of it worked great etc.,but Star Wars land could and probably will coast around 1 billion dollars plus they don't have any buildings back there the size to house a large ride, so Trust me they are not going to go the cheap route and reuse a under half million dollar shop, because of budget cuts. Disnwy knows Star Wars will be a mega hit in the park, and even the smaller Pandora imagine if they would've reused the festival of the lion king building for something. That may be a bad example, but you know what I mean. And while you weren't talking about that that is what my point more so was. But again though, there is no way they would specifically build around Muppets just because they wanted to keep it. Either the plans absolutely were unaltered by it, or it will go, and I personally think the latter will be true by Star Wars Land, or fire sure by phase 3. Remember unless said by Disney it is not always going to be true. I trust you that it is a good source, but knowone saw a slinky dog coaster coming, everyone thought it would be toy story Playland, so again things are even still subject to change when Disney announces something, so in my mind I still don't see Muppets staying.

Absolutely and completely staying. If anything, expanding to Pizza Planet and Mama Melrose as well.

What is going on with Mama Melrose? It's closed for refurb too (along with Pizza Planet), right? Pizza Planet getting switched to a Muppets theme seemed inevitable, but we haven't heard much about Mama Melrose.

Mama Melrose is currently open. The permit for Pizza Planet also covers Mama Melrose. The permit expiration is well beyond the scheduled completion of Pizza Planet so it looks like they are going to finish Pizza Planet and then move on to Mama Melrose.
