Thank you for pointing out that the picture of a baby in a Han Solo outfit and implying it was Disney's real first concept for adding face characters to their theme park was ridiculous. I'm not certain that subtle satire would have been noticed unless you had pointed that out. Thankfully, the general public will no longer be confused by the subtlety of the joke.
I understood your satire, and your opinion on this topic. Which is why I responded the way I did.

If for example they put Han in at SDL with a local CM of the region who didn't look like Harrison Ford do you really thing many of the guests would care, I don't.

LOL yes we know. Which is why we were wondering why you needed that confirmation so bad.
Because I wanted to know if he was, and I gave the reasons why previously. Is there anything wrong with that? You like confirmation on things from time-to-time too, so should we not try to get confirmation on things now just because YOU personally believe something?

Again, you said it was relevant to our particular discussion when clearly it was not. What changed or could have changed based on that confirmation? Why was it important enough to ask for 10x?

As I alluded to before if he wasn’t really a CM, then the whole conversation is moot including you trying to call out Disney for their hiring. So yes it was 100% relevant.

The fact that he is now confirmed to be a CM playing Han, as I said before, my stance is still the same. I have no issue with his hire. If you and others do that is up to you. But I still stand behind my potential explanation, someone in casting could have looked at him and thought he looked similar enough to Alden from Solo that he could pass for Han even in OT era clothes. You don’t want to agree, so be it. It won’t be the last time we don’t agree on something.

But that wasn’t the conversation we were having anymore was it? We had moved onto your (and I’m trying to be nice here) interesting logic in an attempt to defend or provide an explanation for their casting.

It was all part of the same conversation, and if he wasn't a CM then yes even my potential explanation would have been moot, which I'm perfectly fine with. And again it was not an attempt to defend. If you don't like the hiring, to be quite frank, I don't really care it doesn't affect me one bit. So it wasn't trying to defending Disney's hiring of this particular CM, it was to try to give a potential explanation maybe the reasoning behind why they did, as I've said now numerous times. You want to call that an "excuse", again I don't care.

In reality we don't know the real reasons why he was hired, or even the specific requirements casting was given. So in the end all we got are our opinions.
