tell us what the fans want
George Lucas himself couldn't consistently make Star Wars movies that everyone loved.
The notion that anyone else can is absurd.
tell us what the fans want
Some of your usual suspects are actually complaining that the girl in Inside out 2 has a diverse set of friends…I mean these Forty-Fifty something men have no clue what high school is like today… it is certainly more diverse then the 80’s… Luckily these ideas will not gain any traction… as with everything that is successful they will drop it cause it does not support their narrativeYou seem very resistant to acknowledging what the article actually says.
There are a group of people who will attack and criticize shows and movies strictly because they're against it from a social perspective because it dared to include a diverse cast.
Heck, look more closely at The Last of Us. The third episode has a lower rating than most other episodes on IMDB.
Pretty sure there's a minority of people who ranked that episode lower for obvious reasons.
Of course, some will stick their heads in the sand, and deny or outright lie, and insist people just didn't like the episode as much from a strictly non-biased critical perspective.
1. That is correct approximately 46 million TV devices globally have opted into Samba TV’s data collection. This includes about 28 million devices in the United States. This opt-in data provides a significant sample size for analyzing broader viewing trends.Samba not Simba
How many of those people have the App turned on? Do you know how many? Because it's not a 46 million sample size. It's only a portion of the 46 millioin and we have no idea how many people that is. 46 million is the total number of TVs that are shipped with the app, NOT the total number of users. I'll have to find the article about it but yeah it's no where near as many as they claim.
no they don't.... why? Because they don't need to. The only way to watch it is through their app. Their app that you have to download and install that already keeps track of how many long someone is watching their shows, where they are, what they watch next etc etc. Samba is completely useless to Disney.
The reason they partnered with them is so they don't have to release their actual numbers to investors. They can just pick and choose Sambas numbers when they want.
Do you honestly think that Apps don't already do everything Samba does and more?
again Disney knows more then Samba ever could
Marketing? You said several times that marketing can't help a show. You said viewers only watch what they like and don't fall for marketing.
how do you square that with that data? Samba's data shows that Andor was one of if not the worst performing SW show. Yet it got a 4k and Bluray reelase ahead of more popular shows.
again can you explain how it some how has better data then Disney has themselves?
Well.. I thought last of us was a great series. You seem very resistant to acknowledging what the article actually says.

I just looked it up…. Xanadu soundtrack went Double platinum in states. 5 million copies sold worldwide…. Wow!I liked it, too!
Then I got to watch it again decades later and I'm thinking, "God, this is awful"... except for the musical numbers. Same with Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang.
We really need a SW musical.
so again.... why do you think this is more accurate then the info Disney has? Disney literally knows the name of every account holder, what they watch, on what device and for how long.A sample this large can capture a wide variety of demographics and viewing behaviors, making it representative of the general population’s viewing habits.
Which is why Industry analysts and media companies, including Disney, use Samba TV’s data to gauge initial interest and compare shows. This trust indicates that the data is reliable enough for strategic decision-making.
DVD sales aren’t as significant as they used to be. They now cater to a niche market of die-hard fans, collectors, and those who seek additional content and special features.
Plenty of shows have a diverse cast that are LOVED.You seem very resistant to acknowledging what the article actually says.

Maybe because the article straight up says, The acolyte isn't ruining star wars, you are? They're sensationalizing it to make their point and get clicks. I will acknowledge 100% what the article is trying to say. And it would have been a good article if they actually said it. There is no place in society for the harassment of actors and people who work on a project just because you don't like said project. And yes, there is a small percentage that does that. You seem very resistant to acknowledging what the article actually says.

You do know that Fallout got review bombed also right? Its why you cannot see or leave audience reviews now.Maybe because the article straight up says, The acolyte isn't ruining star wars, you are? There are lots of shows and movies that have diverse casts that do exceptionally well. Why is that? Why is everyone toxic because they don't like the acolyte so far? At the same time they think Rogue one is the best of Disney star wars? Or Mando season 1 & 2 are the best of the shows? They're star wars, they're diverse, and pretty well loved.
Why was it toxic review bombing with Echo? Yet Fallout was loved by so many? Two shows, diverse casts, made for the more mature audience, same demographic, completely different reception. Maybe, just maybe, a good portion of people haven't connected at all with the show yet. Maybe they still will, it has some time to come into it's own.
This isn’t just my opinion; it’s based on real data and industry consensus. The industry recognizes that data from 46 million viewers worldwide is solid and a good indicator of what’s popular. Even Disney uses this broad data to complement their internal metrics and get a comprehensive view of audience preferences. It’s the format the industry agrees to follow.so again.... why do you think this is more accurate then the info Disney has? Disney literally knows the name of every account holder, what they watch, on what device and for how long.
Also the bigger issue is it sounds like 28 million tvs is a lot... except it's not. less then half of all streaming happens on a TV. As of Dec 2023 less then 40% of all people watching shows on streaming watch it on a TV.
So right off the bat the data is flawed. With that data the best you can say is an estimated X number of people watched the show on a TV.
Why are you dodging the question.
Why do you think Samaba has better data then Disney?
never suggested it was. The point is they wouldn't release them on DVD unless they knew it would make them money. Hence why no Willow DVD
no it's not, you are confusing hype from websites to generate clicks with actual industry metrics. This isn’t just my opinion; it’s based on real data and industry consensus. I don't care about review bombing because you realize review padding is a thing too right? And why even say that? If the complaints that review bombing is killing the acolyte are true. Than how did Fallout stay at the top of the ratings for what, a month plus? If it was bombed, surely all the hate filled fans had such a pull on society that it couldn't have succeeded. But I guess miracles do happen. You do know that Fallout got review bombed also right? Its why you cannot see or leave audience reviews now.
Anything to string along the toxic fan narrative I guess. So now there's some arbitrary diversity scale? Do you hear yourself talk? So a show that has a female, poc and a white male lead with an interracial wife and many other diverse characters isn't diverse enough? This is why this is always such a poop show. It just kills the agenda when when something goes against the everyone is conspiring to bring down Disney and star wars. They're both very diverse shows made for a more mature audience. Also you're picking two shows that couldn't be further apart with diversity casting. One show is like 100% diversity casting where as the other is like 90% white with only a few diversity castings.
Review padding is less of a thing, but ok I'll give you that. But go look at that article I just posted. There is obviously a concerted effort to bring down the review scores of any Star Wars content, so much so it took down a 2008 film of the same name and a fan film of the same name. Neither of which has anything to do with this show. If you cannot see that then I don't know what to tell you.I don't care about review bombing because you realize review padding is a thing too right? And why even say that? If you really want to compare and contrast reviews then you need to do like for like. Right now you're going see this apple is performing better than this orange so the orange just must be bad just because both are fruits.Anything to string along the toxic fan narrative I guess. How does this prove anything ?And in even more "review bombing has gotten ridiculous", Fandomwire did an article on how reviewing bomb took down a previously well reviewed movie called Acolytes from 2008 because it bears the same name as this show.
“Can’t take review scores seriously anymore”: The Acolyte Getting ‘Review Bombed’ Gets Exposed as 2008 Movie Gets Caught in Hate Misfire
Leslye Headland's The Acolyte was review bombed by the haters as a 2008 film and a fan-made project saw a surge in negative reviews.fandomwire.com
If that doesn't prove there is an effort to review bomb any Star Wars content into oblivion I don't know what will.
These aren't fans leaving real reviews (unless you think fans are actually that dumb and can't tell the difference between a 2008 movie and a 2024 show), they are bots specifically designed to review bomb content based on a name and getting the wrong one. Its clear that it was a concerted effort to try and bring down the scores of Star Wars content. How does this prove anything ?
You want to leave a bad review for the Acolyte and end up at the wrong page and don’t realize it.
This happens all the time.
Who is writing these articles?
Real Star Wars Fans are upset with the review bombing? You mean 50 people on Twitter?
Another trash article.
This is a fun conspiracy theory. These aren't fans leaving real reviews (unless you think fans are actually that dumb and can't tell the difference between a 2008 movie and a 2024 show), they are bots specifically designed to review bomb content based on a name and getting the wrong one. If you don't want to believe its happening due to your own dislike for the show, that is your prerogative. But its become a real problem, and its coming to light in a big way. No way to stick your head in the sand on this one, although I'm sure many will try.
You can look at the data for yourself if you don't believe the article. Go check that 2008 movie out on RT, go find an actual review from someone in 2024 who just got it wrong. You won't find one real review from 2024 at all. If these were real reviews you'd have at least one comment from 2024 talking about Star Wars. You'd also notice that most of the real reviews for that movie give at least 3-4 stars, which doesn't jive with the score. Showing it was review bombed, just a few days ago. This is a fun conspiracy theory.
I won’t argue it anymore though, since it’s Disney Star Wars and no one cares anymore.
I don’t even understand what your trying to say here. You can look at the data for yourself if you don't believe the article. So this isn't some conspiracy.
