What better than a rousing patriotic display from the Fife & Drum Corps at AA on the 4th. Wish I could be there to see and hear them play. I always enjoyed their coming through and showing guests respect, reverence for our country and its history. Too bad they are no longer a regular event.

Hope Ben Franklin pops up on ID4 Weekend...I love this video giving a nod to "Fans" of the members of The Adventurer's Club....;)

I can honestly say that in my almost 30 years of travel to WDW I have never once witnessed the Fife & Drum Corps in person.

Unfortunately, with all of the cutbacks, it is probably just a 4th, of July appearance. It would be to Disney's credit if they did reinstate regular performances of the Fife and Drum Corps. They are excellent musicians and add a great deal to the historical aspects of the American Pavillion. They bring the forecourt of the pavillion to life.
We were lucky enought to see them a few times and felt it was extremely unfortunate that they were cut. .It does seem that sometimes Disney simply doesn't "get it" and can't see the whole picture instead of individual cutbacks.

My friend Noel was in fife & drum...I miss that show!

If they don't wish to bring them back to the American Adventure at least bring them back to Liberty Square. They always drew a crowd when they performed and are a very talented bunch of musicians.

I'm guessing just a limited engagement for the holiday.
Too bad, they were fun to watch.

They still do it daily at Colonial Williamsburg here in Virginia, which is still a fantastic vacation, with full-service hotels like Disney and even the beautiful Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country, USA, (which was originally inspired by River Country at WDW) next door.

I recommend a trip to Colonial Williamsburg if you never have made the trip. Ironically it has been called "Colonial Disneyland" by some history purists, but I like the balance it strikes between historical accuracy and modern conveniences (like AC and bathrooms, LOL).

As for the fife-and-drum corps, I might argue that they are better respected in Williamsburg, also, as they are critical to the presentation. So, I really recommend you see them there if you get a chance.

Agree with prberk. We live about 4-5 hours from Williamsburg. We went up last Memorial (2015) and did Jamestown, Yorktown, amd Jamestown Settlement. We ran out of time and would like to go back to do Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. I was there 30+ years ago and still remember pieces. A good trip if you are looking for real history. Combine that with any other travel along the NE coast (Philly, DC, etc.) and it's a great vacation.

It is also within a reasonable driving distance from Virginia Beach, the Outer Banks (of North Carolina), and the Chesapeake Bay (not to mention the 18-mile-long Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, which has a restaurant in the middle of it, and connects Virginia Beach to the Eastern Shore, where you can find Chincoteague Island and its famous horses).
