Specific park question

My parents and I are driving down to the world tomorrow, from Atlanta so its not that far, only about a 7 hour trip. My question is, I was last there in january 3 months ago and they haven't been in about 3 to 4 years, and we are only going to a park one day on Saturday. Which park do you think they would enjoy going to the most? My vote is Epcot mostly for their benefit, but also because I didn't get to look around in january as much as I would have liked to.

But is the magic kingdom better for a one day trip because you might not feel 'the magic' from simply going to epcot? We are staying at the best western lake buena vista in downtown disney as well, anyone have any experience there? This was my first post by the way. hooray

I don't know your age, but my parents enjoy EPCOT the most. And yes, we have felt the Disney magic while being in that park. Go for it.

That is a hard question to answer because we don't know your parents.

My opinion is Epcot. There is a lot of diversity there and it is a great place no matter what you want to do.

Another way to look at it, what park has changed the most since they have last been there. I was 10 years (1991 to 2001) between trips and the least changed was Epcot. So, if they want a new experience, look at which park has something they want to see.

I concur, Epcot has the most variety. I gone there with many groups of people and everyone over the age of 20 enjoyed Epcot the best.

Well, you know no thread areound here can have everyone giving the same opinion, so I vote for Magic Kingdom. Whenever we go, we always to MK first and last, simply because I really feel more of the Disney magic there than any of the other pakrs. I admit, that if Mission Space were open, I would be tempted to go to Epcot first and give it a try, but to us, nothing captures the Disney feel and magic more than MK.

It is tough to choose one park. It is kinda like asking a mother to choose between her children. Each one has a special gift and a unique quality that is all their own.
Magic Kingdom- Nostalgia and Americana- This is where the Dream began. It is a lovely park but dont go there on the weekends!!! Very crowded (although I havent been there lately)
EPCOT- Cutting edge and Cerebral- Great park, probably the best selection of restaurants to eat at but not a place for fantasy or thrill rides.
MGM/ Disney Studios- Glitz and Glamour- This is the Hollywood that never was but will always be, the Hollywood from the days of Clark Gable, Judy Garland etc. I think this is a great mix of Fantasy and Adult type of stuff. Fantasmic as a night show is not to be missed.
Animal Kingdom- Mother Nature gone wild!! If you only have the option to do one park, I dont know if I would say to go with this one. It is kinda in addition to the others, but if you enjoy animals and want to see more animals than you would see on a trip to Africa, this is your area!!
Good luck whichever you decide and have a great time!! Belle

Yikes! 7 Hours? And I get annoyed when I have to drive the hour and a half to Boston once every six months! :)

I'd say, let your parents decide. It's not as if they have never been to WDW before so they'll have an idea of what they would be missing by not visiting particular parks.

Since you are going to be so close to the parks maybe you could hit two (although, that would double the amount of money you'd be spending). Go to one park early and then go to Epcot second since it's open late.

Personally, I think that's a very tough choice. I would never want to choose which 1 park I'd want to visit for the day, I like them all.

Have you ever been to Disney before? You must be new around here...Welcome! Anyways Magic Kingdom would be the best for the family. You can always be a kid when your at MK, and it's a great park to spend with kids.

I think that I would agree with everyone EPCOT is definately a balst, however how old are you??? If you're looking for Disney atmosphere with amusement park feel.. i would probably recommend MGM... it's not very educational or anything like that, but I feel that it's more thrilling in terms of rides... i suppose it all depends on what the basis of your trip is!!! Hope that helps!
