Better ride?
I do. Splash is better because it is.I have no logical reason
Splash. But I had a dream the other night where I travelled to Disney (through a magic portal) and I chose to ride Space over Splash, so I’m not sure what that says about me
Speaking of which I had a dream I was back in time at Epcot 83, and I was desperately trying to find Horizons... I finally got to it and just started sobbing... as soon as I started to enter the building I woke up.
That’s amazing
It’s also rare that all the animatronics in Splash are working.Splash Mountain, but only because they NEVER CHANGE THE FREAKING LIGHT BULBS in the tunnel right before the lift. Is it seriously that difficult to fix??
I can forgive them for that because I can’t imagine the nightmare it is having animatronics in a water ride. Space mountain, on the other hand, is literally just lights and projectors. No excuse. It’s also rare that all the animatronics in Splash are working.
That was a bit of my reasoning but the opposite. At least in Space the darkness is intentional.I can forgive them for that because I can’t imagine the nightmare it is having animatronics in a water ride. Space mountain, on the other hand, is literally just lights and projectors. No excuse.
No excuse for the animatronics always being broken either, but agree to disagree.I can forgive them for that because I can’t imagine the nightmare it is having animatronics in a water ride. Space mountain, on the other hand, is literally just lights and projectors. No excuse.
I’m not so sure about there being no excuse for the animatronics. The animatronics are well over 45 years old, and the constant exposure to water has to be the biggest headache in the entire world. On top of that, it’s got the most animatronics out of any ride.No excuse for the animatronics always being broken either, but agree to disagree.
I’m sure that’s one of the dominating motivators for a replacement.I’m not so sure about there being no excuse for the animatronics. The biggest misconception I see about Splash Mountain is the belief that “it just needs a good, proper 6 month refurb!” The ride needs constant maintenance and repairs. It’s by far the least cost-effective ride in any park. And that’s all without mentioning the apparent OSHA nightmare it is working on the ride.
My point is, I do think there are plenty of valid reasons why Disney just can’t keep up with maintaining the ride.
I’m certain it’s 90% the reason why. The icing on the cake is the positive PR they get for rebranding it.I’m sure that’s one of the dominating motivators for a replacement.
Well that's a bit unfair, at least Splash Mountain has animatronicsIt’s also rare that all the animatronics in Splash are working.
