Sorin over Florida

Yep. It pops up every now and then. An interesting piece of work. I think it shows the versatility Soarin' has as an attraction and really deserves (it's one of the few clones that could be in every resort area and have a completely different focus/approach while still being the same "attraction".)

Loved it, beautiful video !
In my 50 some odd years I've spent time growing up in Florida, worked there a while in my 20's, and have vacationed all over the state from along the panhandle, down the east coast From St Augustine to Miami, and the Gulf Coast from Pensacola to Sarasota, and back up through Tampa to Orlando. In all these years I've never found anything in Florida I did'nt like.
I live north of Atlanta now in the beautiful Appalacian foothills, but I'd give anything to retire to Florida someday.
California Soarin' is nice, but Id welcome a change to a Florida Soarin' !

The movie was put together very well but, I thought there were a few too many swamps. I live in Florida and i have to contest that I don't think there is enough topography in Florida to make an exciting Soarin' over Florida version. California was a good choice because of it's diverse landscapes and popular landmarks. It has a all ends of the spectrum: Mountains, orange groves, rivers, beach's,rocky cliffs, high-rises,desert, wine country,Golden Gate, Disneyland. I don't want to sound bias, and I like Florida, but California is too much to compete with.

It was nice.....but not a wow.

Now that's a genuine "Proof of Concept."

Imagine the video redone "Soarin" style with dramatic movement in the filming to tie in with the mechanical movements. The youtube video was shot in a standard matter therefore the lack of "Soarin-esque" movement.

Add in some Miami at night, perhaps a Bucs or Dolphins game, the Blue Angels over Pensacola, and buzz over the start of the Daytona 500 and you have a Florida Soarin on your hands.

(Last time this concept came up all of the Florida fans received a beating as our state is "just too boring." Lets see how this thread goes. )

any one know how to save it???
good job whomever made it, to the poster who said you didnt feel like they were flying, unless you have a hanglider, and huge fans hanging in your tv room you not going to!, if you watched the real soarin' film at home on a pc it would be just the same as this one(feeling wise)
i thought it was good, didnt think the warship was a good thing tho, dont want to think of war when im at wdw
ps whats the big tower on the hill, looks like one of the two towers from lord of the rings...im in uk so dont know what it is

You can save it, but don`t bother. YouTube quality leaves a lot to be desired. You can find it elsewhere on the web at normal res.

The YouTube rating was a three; probably where I would rate it as well. It was pretty good and shows some of the potential for a new Soar'n experience. I still think an East Coast presentation would encompass the same feelings that the California theme possesses. Maine to Florida, seems to me, to be the answer here. I feel confident that when Disney does it it will be worthy.

Interesting....the shot of guests in ponchos at the MK cracked me up. I see the replacement of the Carnival cruise ship with the DCL. Plus, they could include something from all of the WDW theme parks.

I love the music, so it's worth viewing for that alone (IMHO). Thanks for posting  !

I still stand by the concepts:

DCA - Soarin' over California
WDW - Soarin (over the Land) dealing with natural wonders and biomes
DLP - Soarin' over the World (major places across the globe)

The nice thing would be that DCAs and DLPs could likely be spliced to gether to get most of WDW's. It wouldn't take too many extra shots, and the US provides almost every biome somewhere on its soil, so we wouldn't have to fly across the globe to get the shots.
