Trip Report Soon it will just be two of us - A very unique Max Trip Report

Hello to all of my WDWMagic friends

For those that did not notice I am back now from an extended absence from the boards even though @Tuvalu did her best to keep me engaged
The reason for the disappearing act was a very special (and time consuming) event
So we start this report with a wonderful trip down the aisle...

Stephanie and Jordan got married!!!

The venue was a (very) local golf course (5 min drive from our house)
Both the ceremony and reception were in the same room

Pictures at the house - Cassie was the maid of honour

The grooms people were (left to right) a combination of Jordan's brother Evan, his best man is his best friend from high school( also named Jordan!) , his two close friends from University (Maria and Roshni) and Cassie's BF Shane

This one was just before the walk down the aisle - I held it together - no blubbering at all!

Haha. I wish. The only things I’ve been drinking this weekend are hot tea and Vernors. I’ve got a cold or something. So perhaps my giddiness was/is fever induced.

If you are like me, some things are ridiculously funny without actually being funny to others. There are times when I will be laughing hysterically at a post (tears streaming down my face, unable to catch my breath) and my DD will read over my shoulder and say « not funny mom » (which of course makes me laugh even more😉)

Worst ever at a Disney park
Poor service ( slow, annoyed that we have dairy allergies)
The food was terrible - my so called cooked carrots were rock hard
Never again
Making a list of places to eat on our upcoming DLR trip, just moved Cafe Orleans from the maybe list to the “nope” list, thanks for the info.
The inside out ride used to be part of the bugs life area ( which was recently demolished for the marvel expansion.
My kids were sad to hear that the “Chew Chew Train” is no longer there, but I am excited for Marvel Campus.

We lingered for a bit checking out some history exhibits in the Lincoln building before heading out

I love this bench and the story behind it

I really enjoyed that little display about the Haunted Mansion when we were there. I went in there a couple times to check it out. I like that Disneyland usually has little historical displays like that.

Day 4
So after leaving the park we returned to the Grand Cali
Checked out
Taxi to a car rental to pick up for business rental for the week
I drove Tricia to LAX ( traffic was ok on a Sunday afternoon) and then I drove to San Diego

I met up with Jason who had flown in on Sunday from Canada

For the rest of the week we drove to the Mexico border , boarded a shuttle ( van or SUV) that took us across the border to the Toyota plant in the Mexico State of Baja California (30 min from the border)

We would then come back and enjoy a dinner out in the Gaslamp district ( think restaurants and night clubs)

On one night we went to Kansas City BBQ
This place was famous for being used to film two scenes in Top Gun!!
Enjoy the pictures!!

On another night was visited The Field
An authentic Irish pub
And by authentic I mean the owner bought 3 pubs in Ireland and shipped some of the contents from each to San Diego and built this pub
