What songs are getting on your nerves. For me it would have to be that awful song "Lonely!" The one that has a chipmunk singing! Grrr It's so annoying the guy "singing" sounds awful. A close second would go to that pathetic "rapper" 50 Cent with his terrible song "Candy Shop." "Isn't it ironic how ironic it is how you fit in that thong." Is this line supposed to make sense? Pathetic.... Anyways what songs are grating your nerves?

Candyshop is REALLY getting on my nerves. 50 cent is much to sexist for someone who resembles a monkey. Also ANYTHING by Avril Lavinge or however you spell it... man is she awful. Hmm what else... Nickleback makes me want to shoot myself. And oh YEAH that Gwen Stefani song "Hollaback girl". Geez, what a retarded song. Grr. I wish I could control the radio stations! BAHAHA. :fork:

That's pathetic! I'd rather have my daughter copying a Britney Spears dance move than hear them sing that song. SOme parents have no morals.... BTW I looooove Snoops's new song with Justin Timberlake. Mmmmm JT.....:goodnevil

SPEAKING of Destiny's Child...

That new song GIRL is another major uggh for me. How is that talent? How is that SINGING?! HOW IS THAT PROPER GRAMMER?!

"WE YOUR GIRLS."

Geez. And in the video, Beyonce's hair looks like its graying... not to mention the fact they hold HANDS and sing in a resturant. If I saw someone singing in a resturant, I would throw a bun at them.

I would say rap, but they don't contain enough singing to be considered songs... See, in my book there needs to be over 1 second of actual singing to be considered a song. :p

Any song from Annie can get on your nerves after listening to it for a while. I swear, the girls in that play all fall in love with "Hard Knock Life" and pretty soon get so in the roles that they start shouting the lyrics! Ugh its awful! And Tomorrow can get on your nerves as well. And "Food Gloriouse Food" from Oliver makes me wanna scream every time I hear it because hearing it reheased billions of time makes you wanna bury yourself alive.

Numa Numa was great at first, but now its getting annoying, and that dancing fat kid isn't making things better.

Yeah, that song is awful! Eventhough I mainly listen to country it seems that whenever I turn on the rap/hip-hop radio station down here that song is on! grrrr!

And yes, Avril Lavinge (sp?... i dunno either) is VERY annoying! When she came out with her first song (Complicated) she wasn't that bad cuz I kinda liked that song but her stuff after that has sucked!

Ugh! Anything Gwen Stefani is a joke! Personally, I would rather listen to elevator music than that garbage!

BTW, LOVE the avatar! Gorgeous! :animwink:

Disagree. Well not TOTALLY. Even though I don't think rap is music, it is poetry and it does deserve SOME respect. Rolling Stone Magazine just released a issue with the top ten greatest MUSICIANS of all time, and these include people like John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, etc etc AND.... Tupac Shakur and Eminem. So even if you dont' consider it music, many people do... and its unlikely that it will ever change. I adore 2pac and consider him to be the second smartest musican and poet of all time.

I agree with "Candy Shop." Ugh. And it's not really on much anymore (thank goodness), but that Over and Over Again song or whatever the heck it was called made me want to scream. :zipit:

I suppose you do have a point, Christina. Plus, my post wasn't to say that it shouldn't be considered music and whatnot, just to make it clear, because you made it sound like I was teling peopel their opinions. ;)

However, I think rap is way to explicit to be classified as poetry, either. And, you don't need much to make a rap song. Talk about weed, hookers, shoes, and cars, make it rhyme, and boom...

Just my opinion, no need to flame me.

Hey, nobody's flaming you! :) I'm also just stating my opinon, and I respect yours... even though there is no such thing as RECENT good rap, old school rap will always have a place in my heart... and explicit poetry exsists. And its pretty good too, once you get pass the cussing. Cheers pal!

The "hey ya" outcast song, I can't stand that song.
Anything by 50 cent, I bought his first cd for the eminem colabs, and I hate it.
And I do like rap, it's just that all of his songs are yo, I got shot. (by someone who can't aim)

Pretty much any r&b, I love you baby song, .

But "hey ya" is the worst, i hear the first notes and turn it off , but can't get it out of my head.

Alot of the new rap out right now isn't that good. That Trillville song "Some Cut" is the most annoying song ever. I also don't like that new Frankie J crap that our station is playing constantly. And of course I don't like any of this new "rock" out right now either. The Killers? Give me a break. Green Day has turned into one of the worst bands in the world too. Every single one of their singles off of this new CD gets on my nerves immediately after I hear them.

You guys are way off about 50 Cent though. Candy Shop has been overplayed to death, I can agree. But the rest of "The Massacre" is absolutely fantastic. One of the best CD's I have got in a while. Hate It Or Love it with The Game is also a really catchy song. We need a new Kanye West CD to come out soon to help bring back good rap music. And Jay Z just flat out needs to come out of retirement. He's always been my favorite music act.

 Yeah songs like Disco Inferno are truly classic. "Isn't I ironic how ironic how you fit in dat thong" "If you be a nympho, I be a nympho" That's modern day poetry....:brick:

Outkast drives me insane as does Destiny's Child (or should I just say Beyonce because that is all Destiny's Child seems to be marketed as). I cannot stand Jay-Z or Gwen Stefani. Shakira's "Underneath your clothes". Ug, my cousin made me listen to the first 5 songs on her CD yesterday :hurl: I cannot stand most rap period. I agree, Usher's "Yeah" is old now. Oh there are a lot of songs that drive me insane  Kanye West drives me insane. If I hear that "right down to the wire. even through the fire" crap again I'll scream my head off

Perhaps. 50 cents not all that bad of a rapper... I mean he has a nice sounding voice... he's a GOOD rapper. But just to listen too. His lyrics make me mad... they have no depht like something from 2pac or DMX has. And I agree with you with Kanye West ... he's actually a smart rapper. Jay-z makes me mad, but HEY he's been around for a long time.

And DizkneeBoi, respect other peoples opinons. While they're OBVIOUSLY not the same as yours, different people like different things.

I'd say "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day. I love Green Day, and I liked this song when I first bought the album and this song wasn't popular yet, but now it's SO overplayed that I don't like it anymore :(
