I'm making my 2nd solo trip in November. I enjoy going it alone, although I also have fun traveling to Disney with others, too. I do travel solo quite a bit though (cruises, Europe, etc) so I'm used to it. One thing you have to remember is that a lot of solo's worry about what other people are thinking of them because they're alone. Funny thing, is that no one knows you're alone except you! So don't be self conscious. Everyone around you is so wrapped up in what they're doing that they aren't paying attention to what you're doing. Sitting alone on a ride? You could easily be with your group and the way the seats got divided up you got to sit alone, so don't worry about that.
I will do lunch at BOG, but other than that I really don't do ADR's…I'd rather just eat somewhere with counter service (or at Food & WIne) and have more time to enjoy the rides.
Going alone allows you to do more vs. going with someone else. The other bonus is that it's all about you and what you want to do. I always accomplish so much I make sure I go back to the resort and enjoy the pool for a while in the afternoons.
I hope you have a great time!!!!!
