Solo tourist hopefully going to Disney and other places around Orlando? What should I plan?

I've never been to Disney World, and I want to explore it at least once so I decided to go for a week.

I was thinking December 23 to December 30. I might add a extra day( so the 31st). However, I'm also thinking about going Dec 18 and staying until Dec 26 instead. I was going to start booking between November 1 though the 8th.

What package should I look at? I want the cheapest package for one person. Hopefully one that includes a hotel/motel. I want to go to Sea world at least once while I'm there as well.

Also I'm willing to not get a package, and just pay for one day sometimes doing the week. As long as I get to experience Disney and Sea world once.

If I have to wing it and just pay as I go which of the four resorts should I try to see?

Also how are your B&B's or Air B&B's. If all the hotels/motels are booked when I start looking in November then I might have to stay in them.

However, I do realize I'm leaving during a holiday season so I might not get to see Disney at all. If that becomes the case I still won't see the vacation as a bust since I always wanted to experience Florida to.

What tourist things should I check out in Orlando? Food? Sweets( I have a huge sweet tooth)? I would like to go water skiing,and to the beach at least once as well? What would be good places to do those?

It sounds like the best plan for you. If it were me I would not stay in AIRBB*! How much are you paying for AIRBB on Santa Barbara Road for 10 days?

* These 'reservations' sound like Hostels to me... where you are sharing the room with others looking for a cheap place to stay and also you share the bathroom! NO WAY WOULD I PUT MYSELF IN THAT SITUATION!

All the hotel/motels are $700 and up when taxes and Florida occupy fees are done. BB are not hostels. You are living in someone's house in a spare room. The room is yours ALONE, and it will say in the listing if you have to share a bathroom. Her price was $389 grand total. I pay $189 now and the other half in December on the 10th. However, I now have her complete address and I used google maps to find it and it's in the ghetto. In some place called Pine Hills. There are bars on the windows of her house. It's tiny and I used camera view to look around, and all of the other house's are tiny projects to also with bars on the windows. Apparently it's nicknamed Crime Hills. It's cheaper than a hotel,but I'm a women living alone for ten days. I didn't want to book a vacation in the projects. No wonder she only had pictures of the inside of the house and the room. I'm also ed that she lives in a cesspool but had the nerve, though AirBB's website, to put that room up for $389.

According to google maps her place is in walking distance to the bus station if I need to use them. However, I have until 9:00 tonight to cancel with her for a full refund, and I'm seriously thinking about it.

Is Kissamee close enough to the resorts and Uber,Lfys and Buses? There are some BB's there. I'll take them just to get away from that crime ridden ghetto.

There is a mansion like home with a private room and bath that only wants 25 dollars a night. He is getting booked like crazy but my dates are still available. He also will give discounts if you stay more than a week and I am. However the host is a man and he will be home all day and works at night. I don't know about living in a strangers home who is male and will be there. However, I also will be gone all day and half the night. I am on vacation after all.

Back to the resorts. Is the hogwarts express attached to Volcano bay? If it is can just get the base ticket and not have to do park to park?

I would suck it up and stay at Clarion Lake Buena Vista(clarionlbv.com) It is a 15 min WALK(since you think you can walk everywhere)...then Uber to Universal for Hogswarts AND YES IT WILL COST A LITTLE MORE BECASUE OF THE TIME OF YEAR!!!! DEAL WITH IT!

I would suck it up and stay at Clarion Lake Buena Vista(clarionlbv.com) It is a 15 min WALK(since you think you can walk everywhere)...then Uber to Universal for Hogswarts AND YES IT WILL COST A LITTLE MORE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR!!!! DEAL WITH IT!

I'll already looked at that hotel as well as many others. They are all way to expensive, even for seven days,and especially for ten. I canceled with the women living in the ghetto and her crazy sum. My new host is a guy who lives in a gated community in a mansion. It's on some street called North Powers Drive, Orlando, FL 32818. The room is mine and private. It's also only $230. Even before the two discounts it was still low for a ten day stay. Now I get to lay my head down for the night, after a long day of vacation fun,but didn't have to pay outrageous hotel fees to do it. So now my place to stay and flight are taken care of. November 1 though the 8th I start booking my tickets.

I never said I think I can walk everywhere. If I have to take Uber and Lyft the entire ten days so be it. I set aside a reasonable amount of money just for that. However, if there is a means for me to safety walk where I need to be, say for 30/45 minutes to a bus stop or even if it's to walk to a spot where Lyft would be cheaper to pick me up at, I'm fine with that to. I'm young and my legs work after all. Also a walk in a huge city I've never been to is not a bad thing. I am a tourist after all.
