Screamscape (grain of salt taken) is reporting that the Oriental Land Company is considering Soarin for Tokyo DisneySea. The rumor says that a new ride film would be created for the attraction to appeal to the Japanese. If this happens, as well as a new ride film for the possible Soarin at Disneyland Paris, perhaps we can look forward to ride film sharing with those versions of the rides. Just some food for thought.

2011/2012 - Soarin’ - Rumor - (5/7/07) The latest rumor claims that we likely wont see Soarin’ show up until 2011 or 2012 now, possibly as part of DisneySea’s 10th Anniversary (Sept. 4th, 2011). Between now and then, Oriental Land Company will be focused on plans for Tokyo Disneyland’s 25th Anniversary (April 15th, 2008) and the opening of the Monster’s Inc. ride in 2009. Again, Soarin’ is apparently just one of a few different attraction ideas under consideration for the park’s 10th Anniversary, so don’t count on it just yet.
(5/4/07) If the latest rumors are true the Oriental Land Company is looking to add a custom version of Soarin’ somewhere in the park’s Mediterranean Harbor area. Obviously this version of the ride would have to feature a brand new ride film that would appeal to Japanese audiences.
