Well sh*t... There we go breaking the universe AGAIN.
Hey friends, PerGron here, sorry to just burst in like this but I think that the hadron collider I installed at my zoo to make it easier to get Dippin Dots in stock maaaay have caused a tiny little rift in the Space-Time continuum and I maaaay have accidentally shattered the fabric of two separate realities and forced them into a total cataclysmic collision. You know, casual Friday and all...
But I'm not gonna lie, I'm so insanely busy I just don't think I can clean everything up right now, but luckily, I know a few of you absolutely can, so I'm gonna put this whole multiversal mess into your hands if that's okay.
So here's the deal. It seems the two biggest games in the forums (So You Want to Be An Imagineer and The Sorcerer's Apprentice) kind of collided and now the projects are just an absolute and complete mess, scattered well across the cosmos and if we want any hope of putting things back into place, we have to locate each of these attractions and get them back in the right spot. Luckily, while I was rifling through Yen Sid's desk the other day (don't ask) I came across this little beauty...
It's a completely empty plot of land where we can all get those projects back. I call it... The Florida Project... Oh, that one's taken... Um, I guess I'll call it EPIC UNIVER- Nope, not that either. I'll come up with a name, but either way, this is what we've got going on. As we complete challenges, we'll be able to get pieces of the SAU back and put them into our map. Once we've got all the pieces, that should restore the universes to their rightful place... I hope. But hey, let me worry about that part. Here's what I need from you all:
Players will be broken down into teams and tasked with completing a series of Armchair Imagineering prompts with the completion of each prompt earning one of the attractions to build our park. As players get eliminated, the task of saving the universe will belong to fewer and fewer of you. Once we reach the end of the quest, the winner will be declared the Sorcerer's Apprentice and will be the keyholder to the SAU park that saves both universes and rights the wrongs that SOMEBODY here has caused.
(For those confused, don't worry about the map or building the park, this is a narrative and will be entirely handled by your admin team.)
Joining me in making sure you all get this done are my esteemed co-hosts @TheOriginalTiki and @Outbound. The three of us will be presenting the prompts, the story, and the guidance you all need to achieve your dreams of winning this competition!
Each round, every team will need to assign themselves a Project Leader to control the flow of the brainstorming and creative output. It is the Project Leader's job to nominate two team members for elimination at the end of each round in the event their team looses, and nominate a Power of MVP (PoMVP) winner in the event their team wins which grants said player immunity from being nominated for the next round. Players can only become Project Leader once until after a team swap or merge.
Alas, there's shenanigans afoot as Walt's Vault threatens a variety of results every time a lucky (?) receiver of the Vault Key decides to take the risk to open it. Results can include advantages and disadvantages in the prompt, the unlocking of secret powers, potential team swaps, and the dreaded Diamond PoMVP which is the most powerful weapon in the game and grants whoever holds it the ability to save themselves or another team mate from being nominated for elimination once at any point before the semi finals.
