This channel is really awesome, they have so many comparisons between the rides (Splash, PoTC, Big thunder mountain) in each park. This one is pretty intriguing since it has some of the last archived footage of the WDW Snow White's Scary Adventure ride there.

The reaction is much, much bigger than the instigator . . .

ONE person mentioned in their review of the ride that the new scene features the old trope. Other press grabbed hold of that article and wrote headlines like "Snow White Next for Cancel Culture??!?!?", and people are in turn responding to THOSE but failing to read the actual initial article. Now people are getting heated as if any meaningful amount of anyone is really "offended" by the new scene in the ride.

Misleading reporting creating a controversy, fueled by people who didn't actually read the report. Whipping up a frenzy where there is none.

Here's the link to the original article, see for yourself how basic and generally harmless it is:

They're basically adding fuel when there is no fire in the first place. Twitter peeps don't think before they speak/tweet.

Our media culture rewards this kind of behaviour.

Doesn't matter if the reporting is accurate or the outrage is blown out of proportion.

What matters is that people are talking about it and clicking on links.

And nothing does this better than sensational headlines that sound absurd to the average consumer.

Aren't there plans to revisit many Disney animated features with updated, modern re-tellings? Y'all are going to go bonkers with the contemporary versions. "They lived happily ever after" is the big lie, especially given the fact that most of these fairy tales have women being rescued by men they hardly know.
