In all seriousness that area of the hotel is also near the area where they’re doing the construction work for the dolphin convention center expansion.

Also it looks very similar to a diesel generator startup. The initial smoke appears to be gray and white before the heavy black smoke appeared into the video. He could also explain why the smoke stopped relatively quickly. As was described in the article a Reddit commentator said the Fire lasted only one to two minutes, that’s really not how a free burning fire capable of putting up that much black smoke behaves.

I miss our Mr. Toad so much. One of the few examples of us having the best version of a ride in Orlando and it had to be taken away. Le sigh.
