I read the thread about having to change gondolas , and it created a new question for me and since the thread is closed, here is the new question. We are staying at CBR and the Riviera will open during our trip, so to take the Skyliner to Epcot will we have to get off at the Riviera and get back in line?

No. that is a through station (similar to the monorail) guests can get on and off but the gondolas continue on to Epcot.
