Skyliner from Riviera

How are the Skyliner queues at Riviera, specifically when trying to rope drop Epcot? We wondered if it’s difficult to get on with all the people from Pop, AoA, and possibly CBR passing through the station on their way to Epcot.

It can be pretty rough. I think they leave a couple empty for Riviera guests, but last time we stayed at Riviera (couple years ago), we walked to the Caribbean Beach station. Got to Epcot more than a half hour before the rest of our party that insisted on getting on at the Riviera. And we left the room at the same time!

I hope they fixed it in the time since, but I honestly have no clue.

Your mileage may vary but it seems odd they don’t try to fill extra seats more - parties of 1 & 2 could move pretty quick but they often wait for empty cabins.

That is odd. Seems like they should let smaller parties have their own cabin at the hub, then add smaller parties in with them at Riviera.

I stayed there in May and had no issues. There was no one in line 15 minutes before the skyliner opened and less than 10 every morning I went to Epcot. I was 1st in line on 4 mornings that trip and got right into a car when they started loading them. I was at Epcot before anyone from the Carribean station

I used the Riviera stop as a CBR guest the week before Christmas and made EPCOT rope drop without an issue.

The only time we had an issue was waiting for one for an ECV. They called the Carribean Beach station no fewer than four times to send an empty one. Unclear what happened that one time but every other time it's been pretty quick.

The biggest annoyance at Riviera with the Skyliner is that they cheaped out at that station and did not put a proper accessible loading area. Meaning, the Skyliner has to come to a dead stop at Riviera anytime a wheelchair/ECV has to load or unload. All other stations have little areas off of the main station for uninterrupted loading/unloading for those.

The photos in the Rivera hotel are all so nice especially the ones of the Disney family and all of their travels from yesteryear. I've always enjoyed all of the posters at the hotel en francais, si vous plais! The sandwich place in the hotel is very tasty for a bite to eat as well!
