Skyliner Construction Message

We are staying at Pop from December 7-15 this year. I just got an email from Disney saying we will see and hear construction of the new skyline system during our stay.

We do like to come back to our resort in the middle of the day for a park break. Do you think it will be loud enough to be bothersome? Or should it be fine?

Your opinions will be greatly appreciated!

There is really no way to know how much noise you will hear. I guess it also depends on where your room is. I would contact them and ask for a room as far from the construction as possible. If Disney is telling you this far out that there will be noise, then there probably will be some noise.

All the major work should be done by then, a lot of it is done already. I wouldn't be to worried about it.

If you go to the pools, especially Hippy Dippy since they play music and have kids activities, you should be fine. The 80’s pool is the quiet pool furthest from the Skyliner.

Consider bringing a portable fan for your room or get an app on your phone for white noise if you’re planning on napping in the room.

Thanks, those are really good tips 😊

What? When did you get this email? We will be there Dec. 8-23 and I haven't gotten anything. Also, thank you for posting and providing a copy of the email - thanks to you others will now have a heads up that might not have otherwise!

Hey! Very recently, I got it on September 13th. I'm glad this was helpful.

Weve been at resorts before when refurbs were taking place. Disney workers try to respect your need for relaxation so they are on a time schedule but you will be in the middle of it by going back to your room midday. You will get some variable noise depending on your proximity to the work being done. We always take along a good set of ear plugs to have available at night just in case our neighboring guests are loud or have had unruly teens outside our room. They do help cut out the noise when needed. We get the Macks pillow soft ones that fit to the ear canal. They seem to do a better job of blocking sounds.
