I don't know the spot but I can say that you don't necessarily need a ticket to get in. Your viewing spot wont be as good (unless you sneak your way up) but you can still get in and have a good time.

Btw, the tickets are free.

For the sake of clarification:
There is no fee to be a part of the audience at the filming of the parade.
You must enter the Magic Kingdom with a valid, normal entry pass, which you pay for, as you would any other day.
To view the parade, you just pick a spot on Main Street, free of any extra charge.

Also, as people start to realize that watching the parade taping (and celebrity performances) is such a long drawn out process, the crowds start to thin. So you can easily get to some prime viewing spots after that happens. Heck, sometimes they beg people to fill those spots.

One year when the Jonas Brothers were there, i got surprisingly close to them, even though I started way in the back of the crowd. That performance was kinda the exception though. It lasted a REALLY long time.

This was funny to us. The 1st time we were at Disney for Christmas our friends knew we would be at MK Christmas morning. We got so many calls from them telling us they were watching the parade to see if they could spot us. A lot of people think that parade is done on Christmas morning. They were so disappointed.

Actually, a few years ago, I signed up on some website and they sent out vouchers and we got in for free. We did not need to purchase an entry ticket. I was wondering if they still did that. Thanks.

Not old, just vintage.
I believe that they have done away with the ticket and sign up system. You can just show up and stand in any of the designated parade viewing areas and you are good to go. By mid-day they are practically begging people to stop and watch the taping since most people have gotten bored and left.
