Should the entrance sign,billboards, and traffic signs in Walt Disney World get a new design?

This isn't a complaint, but am I the only person who thinks the Walt Disney World entrance sign,traffic signals, and billboards should get updated in the future. Because the traffic signs and the entrance has been like this since the 1990's. Maybe when the the resort celebrates it's 50th Anniversary in 2021 they might find a way to redesign them. Especially since animated billboards at night have started becoming a thing for those who drive to cities at night.

I mean I don't think they would do it anytime soon because its unnecessary. I know the little things count but I don't really see a purpose right now.

It's difficult to find the old sign for Walt Disney World. But the closest would have to be the old entrance for the Parking Entrance from 1972.

The arches? They didn't exist. There was no formal introduction to the border before them, though World Drive did have a small sign after opening:

The current directional signs came in the early 90s - I want to say 1990 - with Eisners way finding project that broke the property into areas. They still work well, when maintained, though the missing Mickeys did used to add a fun touch.

A part of me thinks the characters have been there for a long time but I am 99.999...% sure that the arch was there during 100 YoM but it is very likely that it was there before that. I don't think I saw it during my CP in 2000 but it could be that I just passed it so much that I stopped noticing it.

On a side note, I absolutely LOVE all of MartinVids material on YouTube.

Good catch! I got my trips mixed up. Hey, if you need any new attraction/parade/fireworks footage I just got my family's entire collection of 8mm digitized. LOTS of footage from '88-'94. I recorded almost every Future World pavilion for school.

Anyone know when and why did they remove the little peeping mickey from the road signs? I remember seeing them around 1994 the first year we went to mgm but that's the only time I actually remember seeing him. Kinda creepy though lol but can't think of why they'd remove them.
