Trip Report Shortest Retirement in History?

Justin Bieber lasted 2 weeks.

Tom Brady lasted 40 days.

I, Tuvalu, outlasted them both. Not by much, mind you. Yet if not for the encouragement of some forum friends - along with some unusual circumstances - you wouldn’t be reading this.

Unusual circumstances, you say?

Around Thanksgiving my beloved Woody learned his presence was required at a work conference. In Orlando. At Universal.
Just down the road from Walt Disney World.

Woody said I could accompany him if he drove (rather than flew) to Florida. And that we could leave a couple days early and have some Disney time together.

Well you don’t have to ask me twice!

I’d be on my own during the conference. Since the majority of Universal’s attractions don’t appeal to me, it didn’t make sense for me to buy Uni tickets when I could visit WDW for free with my AP. Being solo, I thought it might be fun to do a live trip report so y’all could be my virtual companions!

Turns out I won’t be alone while Woody is occupied after all. Some friends that you have seen in my previous TRs (and one you haven’t) have offered to play with me. I can’t wait!

Em had a request once HEA ended. “Can we see Country Bears again?”

I readily agreed, not only because I enjoy the show but I figured we might miss the sea of humanity that exits the park immediately after the fireworks.

We had some time to explore the lobby exhibits. I thought these letters were fun.

My first time since the refresh when it wasn’t a full house.

Em could bearly contain herself during Try Everything. I think it’s her favorite song in the show.

Hey, @Loco_driver - ever had this theater to yourself? #ShirleyStatus

Two paws up from both of us - again!

Main Street crowds had barely dispersed as we made our way to the park exit.

At this point we non-commandos had already logged 22k steps over 4 parks (@Zipadeelady ) and we were DONE. We opted for the warmth of a bus rather than a boat ride to the Lodge, as it was still windy and chilly.

The next morning we were on the road at 6 am.

Our October trip exceeded Em’s expectations and she was able to accomplish all that she wanted on her bucket list. ✅ However, unlike MNSSHP, I imagine Disney in October may not be a one and done if her schedule allows in the future!

By the way, her face no longer looks like this.

For the first time in three years, Em will celebrate her birthday in WDW again. She spent the last two at Dollywood where the Christmas decor and holiday ambiance outrivals Disney.

But Dollywood is not home.

So stay tuned for the final chapter in this year-long trip report. And many thanks to y’all for following along! :inlove:

I’m not a Hocus Pocus fan either. I’ve watched it twice in recent years in case I was missing something but nope, not for me 😂
I'm not a Hocus Pocus fan either, but then, I'm really weird when it comes to movies. The things everyone else LOVES are "meh" to me. I hate A Christmas Story. I'm not a fan of Toy Story movies. I'm not a fan of National Lampoon movies either.
