This is my first pre-trip report/trip report so please bear with me.
Here’s a little bit about the trip participants:
Myself, Ashley (23) – Absolutely LOVE Disney! After a 7 year hiatus from WDW (obviously an unwanted hiatus) I have successfully been to WDW at least once a year. I like to go to the World with a plan, i.e. an itinerary, adrs, smart use of fastpasses, etc.
The BF, Wes (turning 23 on our trip) – Also really likes going to WDW. His parents are DVC members but they do Disney way different than what I am used to. They tend to go for a whole week and only visit the parks 2 of the days they are there. I don’t understand it but hey, whatever floats your boat.
Wes and I on our last trip to Disney together (he's the one on the far left :lol
So this trip is just me and Wes for 3 nights and 4 days at the wonderful world that is Walt Disney World. As I mentioned before, Wes will be celebrating his 23rd birthday during our trip, and that is actually one of the reasons we decided to take this trip. One day at work, about 80 some odd days ago, I realized that I needed to go back to the world asap. I had just been with my parents in February but I couldn’t wait any longer. So I said to Wes, “hey why don’t we go to wdw this September!” Once I convinced him that it was a great idea since he could get into the park for free on his birthday (and since I would pay for all the airfare and the room, and all he would have to buy are his park tickets
) he said okay let’s go! So, a few days later I booked our airfare, room, and bought our MNSSHP tickets.
Since this is going to be a pretty short trip, we are taking a more relaxed approach to the trip. We have our must sees at each park that we want to see and a couple other things that we want to do like getting a caricature portrait done, go to MNSSHP, and order drinks around world showcase. Hopefully though the parks won't be too busy so we can still fit a lot into our short trip.
Here is our tentative schedule for our trip. Let me know what you think now or forever hold your peace
Friday September 18
Depart RDU at 7:00am and arriving at MCO at 9:20am
Head to the All Star Music resort and spend the afternoon checking out the resort
Then around 4pm, head over to the Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP (This is the time we can enter the park just using our MNSSHP tickets, right?)
Dinner at Casey's Corner
Watching the parade and fireworks - this will be our first time at MNSSHP and we are really excited
Saturday September 19 - Wes's Birthday
Heading to DHS for EMH
Lunch at one of the QS locations
Head over to Epcot around 2pm
Check out some of the performers and drinks in WS
Wes's Birthday dinner at Teppan Edo at 6:40pm
Watch Illuminations
Sunday September 20
Its back to Epcot to continue our drinking tour around the WS
Lunch at Tutto Italia at 11:30
Around 6pm head to the Magic Kingdom
Dinner at Pecos Bill
Monday September 21
Head to AK for EMH
Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ or Pizzafari, not sure yet
And then sadly we must leave the park by 2pm to get to the airport
We are very excited for our trip. We both work at the same company and we actually have a conference the 9th through the 13th where we will be working 16 hour days so this trip will be much needed! Wes has an iPhone so I will try to do some live updates while I am in the World. But no promises.
