Thank-you.

I am sure she will make the height restrictions. She is over 42 inches now. At just over 3 on our last trip she was tall enough for Tower of Terror and really wanted to go on but we were not so sure if she should. She talks about ToT all the time so I think we will have to do that one.

I will have to prep her for Stitch and see what she thinks.

Oooohhhhh... ToT? Last August, on the first trip my kids ever took to WDW, my daughter had seen the video for the ToT and for about two weeks leading up to the trip she said she wanted to go on it. She was 7 at the time and my son was 4. She convinced her brother that it would be fun to go on. She was expecting only one drop and then it would be over... of course that's not the case, it's totally random. So after the ride was over, she was crying her eyes out and my son was sitting there looking at me and saying "Can we go again?" I think maybe try her with Stitch first and see how she reacts since it has more chance of being kid friendly. If she handles Stitch okay, then I would advise you to prepare her for ToT by letting her know that it will drop more than once and may drop six times. That way she at least doesn't have that nasty surprise to deal with.

Ooohh a fastpass?? I could use one of those! Also on the Stitch game page...Stitch in Dumbo...hilarious!

Stitch in Dumbo is on the SGE T-Shirt that I bought down there last week. They also have Stitch on Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, Jungle Cruise and sitting on Big Al's head at Country Bear Jamboree. I love that shirt....

Yeah, I am not sure what to do. Being she is 3 1/2 right now, everything is "mine". So she refers to it as "my Tower or Terror". We keep talking to her about it and let her know what it does. She really is a daredevil though. She did Spash Mountain right after she turned 3 and did it with her hands up the whole time (about 7 times we did this).

I am hopeful she will be ok but we will be working on this for the next 5 months. Also years ago we took my two brothers who were 4 and 6 on it. The 6 year old was terrified and would not go on it and he is now about 15 an still has not done it. The 4 year old went on 3 times in a row. My fingers are crossed that whatever we do is the right decision.

Well, the worse that happens is she rides it and gets freaked out and never wants to go on it again. Either that or she'll want to go back on again later. Like I said, see how she reacts to SGE first, then take her over there if she seems okay. Heck, try Space Mountain first if you want to and see how she handles that, it's dark, goes a decent speed and moves you around a bit. Not a bad way to judge her ability to handle ToT. Not the best way, really, but it should give you a bit of an idea.

Our biggest fear is that she will get too scared and not go again ever. She was tall enough this Jan. but having just turned 3 we thought it was not the wisest move.

The problem with Space Mountain is that she will have to sit by herself as that is how the seat are set up now. If she freaked out there is nobody there to comfort her. That is one that we are planning on not doing on this trip. She also has not asked for that one (which is good as of now anyway).

Are the seats setup differently than they were a couple of years? I guess I was under the impression that could sit in the same seat as a small child. Have you even been able to do this?

The seats have been set-up the current way on Space Mountain for many years now. Longer than I can remember... One person per seat, 3 rows in each car, one seat per row, 2 cars per train. It hasn't changed in a while...

Mrtoad, what did you mean by this? Just curious. Thanks.

The SM cars only seat 1 person per row, and he is afraid his daughter will get afraid because there will be noone near her...

Sorry, I have not been on all day. This is exactly the reason. She is tall enough (over 42 inches) but is still a little kid. My concern is if she panicked she could try to get out of the seat, which I do believe would be possible. As mentioned the current seats are 3 individual seats per car with 2 cars linked. Way back in the day, it was 2 double seats per car with 2 cars connected. I child could sit between your legs.

An adult would not be able to get out if they tried durring the ride because they would be too big to squirm out from under the bar. A child who just makes the height cut could (at least I think so). A child of 42 inches is usually a little older (she is currently 3 1/2) but is very tall for her age. She is in a Montessouri school where the kids in her class range from 2 1/2 years old up to kindergarten. She is taller than most of the kindergarten children.

Anyway, a kid of 5 or 6 would know not to try to get up but a child who is her age might not. I just for obvious reasons can't take that risk.

Sorry for the long winded reply. :)

3 1/2, and going on Space Mountain? Not taking her on it probably is a good idea...

Personally, I like SM's seating, but from your Point of View, I can see how its bad...

The lap bars on Space Mt. are made to go down to any height... she'll be safe if she goes on, that's a given, but it's if she wants to or not, that's what is up in the air. The lap bars on Space mountain are T bars, going in between your legs as far down as possible. Once the bars go down, there is no room to squirm, even if she is that small.

I agree, I do like it better than the old seating for us. But with a kid, I don't like it. She is a daredevil and would want to do it. She really wants to do ToT badly. When we were there early in the year she was just 2 month over 3 years old and tall enough. We thought it not wise but had to carry her down the streen crying as she really wanted to do it.

Was there a version between the t bar and the old way with seat belts? I thought there were u shaped bars at one point.

The Stitch's Escape game is now available for download.....it's a pretty nice game, but the one that was made for DCA's Tower of Terror was better.
