Honestly, this is a good question.

Space Mountain seems like the obvious winner at first, but...

Unlike Disneyland's upgraded Space Mountain, ours has no onboard audio (so that you can barely hear the music), rickety-feeling track/vehicles, and OK effects.

Mine Train has beautiful rock work, impressive animatronics, an incredibly charming sequence on the second lift...

I'd still go with Space Mountain, but I think it's a closer call than it seems at first.

I’m enjoying these simple polls that basically just celebrate the fun of Disney.
That said, I approached this from the point of view of what I personally look for in an attraction. I may be in the minority here, but even with roller coasters, I don’t look for the biggest, wildest, scariest thrills I can get. ( I realize that by today’s standards Space Mountain is pretty tame as roller coasters go) I want to be able to savor the immersion of the atmosphere and not have my old body tortured for the sake of a two minute ride. Seven Dwarves Mine Train has more to see with a smoother ride. I really like the swinging effect of the vehicles. Adds a lot imho.
They’re both fun rides, but if I had to choose just one, it would be Seven Dwarves.

Thrill and environments aside. Quite a height requirement difference from this and space. I think that stretches things to not being comparable.

Big Thunder and Seven Dwarfs is a much closer reach of an argument.

Better comparisons would be Space Mountain vs. GOTG:CR or 7DMT vs. Slinky Dog. (I don't count Barnstormer as a coaster for comparison).

GOTG: CR hasn't opened to the public yet, so not many people have experienced it yet to compare it to Space Mountain, and I've already done 7DMT vs Slinky Dog, so let's discuss Mine Train vs Space.

Judging from the poll results of that one, it's absolutely not an argument. Big Thunder CRUSHED the Dwarfs and wasn't even close. This comparison (Space vs Mine Train) is a much closer and interesting race.

Bruh. It's a great question to discuss ^
What's to compare other than they both are on coaster rails. Different story lines, completely different theming, different length of the experience, different mood target and one (7DMT) can be ridden without requiring spine surgery after. That makes Mine Train the winner.

Interesting. I never need spine surgery after coming off Space Mountain. I feel fine, abs wanting to jump back on again. On top of that, it’s a far longer and rewarding ride, more thrilling, and is actually worth its long waits. Couldn’t say the same for the Mine Train which many find underwhelming. That makes Space Mountain the winner.

Different strokes for different folks.

So I only give the nod to 7 Dwarves because I have legit issues and Space Mt can flat out just hurt or cause me to lose feeling/have muscle spasms. Makes it not enjoyable. Neither are great coasters though. Definitely kiddie coasters to me so I don't get sad if I don't ride them.
