The Epcot Manifesto
Looking back a little in the FLE thread, it looks like 10/12/2012 is when the first "soft" opening of guests went onto Little Mermaid. I think the official grand opening ceremonies were on 12/6/2012.

No idea if the same time-frame would be in place here for the Mine Train, but I wanted to look back and see what happened for the rest of the FLE.

I think it is difficult to garner anything from how Disney opened FLE. It was a freak'n mess. There were media days, Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting days but let us not forget the nightmare of AP Preview days that threw the whole preview/soft openings into a tailspin. Remember how there were sign up times of AP'ers and the system crashed and crashed again, the entire unveiling of FLE was a mess. BOG was thrown into that time frame and that at least went a little smoother.

I would look towards how Test Track soft opened, CM days, Media, guests.

In the video below around 9:50, they point out these "post" around the mine train, any idea what they could be for?

I'm pretty sure they are tie offs, where they connect their harnesses when they are working. I've seen a photo with one of the workers harnesses connected to the top of a rock, where the scaffolding was down.
