I also agree that Disney is expensive, but I also say to each their own. I enjoy going to WDW but would never think of spending thousands of dollar, between equipment and fees, to play golf.
I watched the movie Tombstone the other day. In one scene Kurt Russell asks Dana Delany what she wants in life. Her reply, “room service.” I agree, as I have stated here before, I spent a good portion of my adult life in the Infantry. Many times in my life I was wet, uncomfortable and hungry. In my old age I want to be comfortable and I want things convenient.
I usually stay at the Contemporary, however, I prefer the Bay Lake side. The view in the morning is something. I sit in the Outer Rim lounge with a cup of tea, I can’t stand the coffee and I enjoy the moment. I watch the family lining up for Chef Mickeys and how excited the children are, and I remember how my DS was the same way at that age.

As to how salaries have changed over the years. When I was 18 years old I was paid $136.30 a month to shoot at people. To be fair they got to shoot back.
That’s my 2 cent.
