I went in with pretty low expectations. To my surprise it was pretty well done, theres some great guest interaction even if your not up on stage. The hosts were great but the judges were even better. Wasnt a big fan of the part when they wanted the audince to dance along but I did like the music video with Jordan Sparks. It was much better than I expected lots of fun and really cool to see the stage in person granted its smaller than the one in real life.

If you use your powers of comprehension, and think of the context of the post, you should be able to figure out what they meant. It might require a little effort, but I think you can do it.

Was there last week. Saw the finale show 2 x's. My family and I actually enjoyed it. You kind of have to go in with the mindset that you are not going to see the actual Idol show but a sort of Disney version of it. I was actually quite impressed with most of the singers that we saw. The show we saw on 1/26/08 had a girl perform who was excellent, they said they were actually giving away the first real golden ticket that night, I do not know if they actually did or not but there was no announcement that there had been on the Satuday show that these were Disney employees of affiliates of Disney. Overall I really enjoyed myself both times. The kick off host was really funny.

I have an Annual Passholder ticket to see it this weekend - I'll let you know what I think, and will hopefully have some pictures too!

My family and I saw the 4pm show and the finale show on February 4th. We enjoyed the winner of the 4pm show so much we went back to see if she could win the golden ticket and she did. I believe she will do very well on the actual show. My daughter loved her, she actually got her autograph.

As for the attraction, it's good. We liked the warm up guy, Mark. The guy who is supposed to be Ryan S. didn't really know his lines and kept looking up at the teleprompter. The judges were ok. I liked them better in the finale show, they were more serious and dressed better.

We will definately go again. We found the show very entertaining.

I seen it in late jan. I thought it was pretty good. Scale of 1-10 about a
7 1/2 or 8. The set was done real well. Judges were not that bad. Keep it all in context. The best part of the attraction is the singers. There were some decent performers. And isnt that the point. American Idol has alot of fans, this attraction should do as well as the show does. When the show "jumps the shark" as goes the attraction.

Nope, not a clue and I've seen the show (at the Studios, never on TV). Those names mean nothing. Also the run on sentences make it even more incomprehensible.

pleasantly surprised

just back from a week with the mouse, and wanted to comment on Idol. we went on Sat. 2/14 for the 'Grand Opening' day, and while I don't have much interest myself, my 2 teenage daughters love the show.

with no expectations, i thought that the production was very well done. i think it might be tough to keep getting qualified contestants on a long-term basis, but the show was entertaining, and the set was impressive.

I saw it on 2/14 and was actually quite impressed.
My dad and I had been joking about it all day, and when we walked by we decided "Hey, why not give it a try?".
I probably won't go to it a lot, but if I don't have much to do again, I'm sure I'll go see it.

I saw it twice last week and although I'm not a fan of the show I found it to be very entertaining.

And isn't that the reason we go to Disney World?

I haven't seen it but my very talented friend was in it during the soft opening. She got to in the final 3!:sohappy: Since she couldn't come back that evening she lost her chance at winning. The experience sounded amazing though. Oh and she's in the commercial too:sohappy:

I can't believe I missed this thread. We went on 1/29 (I think) and it was great. Much better production than I would have imagined.

Also, the comment about the first ticket being handed out in Feb had to be wrong. They made a big deal about the winner of todays (1/29) show getting a golden ticket.

I also have to add, I found a hidden mickey at the show. Made me feel all warm inside knowing that I was one of the first.

We enjoyed American Idol Experience

We visited the first week the Experience was open. No trouble getting seats. We went to an afternoon show and the final show of the day. All of the singers could at least carry a tune. All were better than the bad auditions they show for fun on the real American Idol. The singer we thought was best did not win. At the finale, there was one lady with a tremendous voice but she lost out to the last singer who saw a clap-a-long country song. I enjoyed his performance but she was the better singer. We will go back every time we're at Hollywood Studios ... and we're going back next week.
